That was some of the worst officiating I have ever seen

We have to get Spurs level good and not rely on a single or even two stars. All players need to be competent and we need to play as a team. Having a couple star players who can always get fucked by the refs isn't going to work for us.

But the bottom line, is that the refs can prevent any team from winning. They have so much power to sway a game.

The Blazers should complain like mad to the league office about this officiating performance....though I'm not sure anyone in the league office will give a shit

Guys, if we get past the Clippers the officiating will only get worse. The Warriors get away with the most offensive fouls of all time.

PA needs to spread some cheese around. Bribe a few (hundred) sports writers to run with a "Cinderella Blazers" vs big-bully-Warriors storyline. Create a new narrative.

Didn't we do that against the Spurs in 2014? Didn't end well

The Spurs would have a big following in Texas though. We're just Oregon.

This has been publicly spammed for a few months... and to my knowledge it has made zero difference in how they officiate them.

They don't want the Clips to win, but they do want to give Steph more time to rest... duh?

LA marketing being dead, the last thing they want is Podunk PDX to take out the golden boy's team so early on. They want Spurs v Ws for all eyes on the boob tube.

You would think the NBA would want to squash these kinds of thoughts, but nope.... they don't care if people think they're rigged. They just keep counting dollars.

The Spurs during their run have had a large number of international players and are a popular team for the league overseas. The anti-conspiracy notion is to point to the Spurs as an example of a small market team that has succeeded, but they were always darlings to foreign fans and were good for the international popularity of the league.

I am convinced we are at a disadvantage to ever win a championship because of this bullshit league bias. It's not as big of a concern since fuck head Stern retired, but it's still something we will have to overcome IMO.

Honestly I'm more inclined to watch a Cinderella vs. a Heavy Weight than 2 Heavyweights.

I'd have to think if the games are close that a Spurs vs. Blazers series would nearly be just as watched as Spurs vs. Warriors...

Yes they do. And Texas is big.
Portland would have to rely on SW Washington and Idaho with all of the state of Oregon to even touch that. Maybe even some of Alaska and Northern California.

But then again we have had very popular international players also. France was watching Portland play every playoff game. Rudy was very popular also. What's is actually the deal with Aminu? He was born in Atlanta but he also plays for Nigeria? He went to school here but is considered an international player?

Yeah some bad calls tonight for sure. But were the Trail Blazers, we should be used to it by now.

Texas's population is roughly 8 times that of Oregon's.

the combined populations of Oregon, Washington & Idaho isn't half of Texas's 27 Mil
