http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POXL49YzEnsExcuse the title, it should be, "the last shot a Laker ever took in the Boston Garden". Still crazy.
I have watched that game (Hardwood Classics on NBtv) and I love it. Nick Van Exel was always one of my favorite Lakers but stupid Shaq had to chase him and Eddie Jones away. Very nice Miracle shot by Nick to close out the legendary Boston Garden Legacy. Yeah!

While Eddie Jones leaving gave Kobe more playing time, I would have liked to see Nick Van Exel play under Phil. IMO he would have done very well. Nick the Quick was an all-star....but then again so was Jones at one point. Glen Rice...well he was part of the three-peat but I was never a fan of his....idk...his wife just bugged the crap out of me.. Not to mention the fact that after we let him go he started being a Laker hater and how he deserved a big contract.

It would have taken Van Exel a while to get acclamated into the triangle and even then he might just hate it and become a nuissance (IE Payton). Harper had been running it for years and knew how to control that team.
