Luckily the Portland Trail Blazers history has never been marred by injury when we were on the cusp of greatness. Also, regardless of what happened with them, we were supposed to suck ass this year. We lost four fucking starters, including a better PF than Blake Griffin. They can kiss my grits.
I wrote that funny, I'm not in England or a Leister supporter. I don't know about the doping rumors. I haven't followed the story too closely, but I knew it was a big deal that little old Leister was top of the league.
The more games we get to play in the playoffs the better, period. Invaluable experience no matter what the perception is or what the outcome is. Just keep chugging out games and learn. We're literally swimming in gravy right now.
I think we need to get past the Paul-less clips to get back to playing with house money. NOBODY is going to give us even a slight chance of beating golden state.
Anyone who wants to discredit the Blazers accomplishments this season or in this year's playoffs because some other team had some injuries can kiss my asterisk. Fuck asterisks. Every team that goes all the way benefits from some "luck" or the bad luck of others along the way. The Warriors last season, for example. The Blazers franchise has had way more than it's fair share of bad luck that allowed other teams to be successful. No one ever puts asterisks next to those teams because of our bad luck. I swear to god if the Blazers make it to the finals and some fucktards "asterisk" theBlazers accomplishment I'm going to go fucking medieval.
Honestly, the way the Blazers are playing in this series, even without Curry GS should be favored over the Blazers. We'll still win, but they'll be favored.
Anybody thinking we need an asterisk didn't watch our team go from massive starter turnover to contender throughout the season. It's movie quality theme material, baby!
tbh - it does feel like less of an accomplishment to beat the Clips w/o Blake and Paul, BUT, you still can not undervalue the experience our guys are getting. If they win game 6 (please do!), and move on to face the W's, maybe they can build that momentum into something. I would love to dream, but alas heartbreak is all I know. Signed 40 year old blazer fan.
DING!DING!DING! For this team to get 2nd round experience.... would be huge, HHHUUUUUGGGGEEE! It would almost put us 2 years ahead of the projected schedule some had. AND even more time for evaluating players and possibly even have another player breakout like CJ did last year. Not saying its going to happen but it sure is nice to have the opportunity. And imagine how much it would motivate Dame. I could probably keep going but in and of itself is plenty. And for a 35 year Blazer fan this is blissful to even be competitive for the first time in YEARS.
I like the mace. It's cool and it leaves a nasty mark. Plus, the broadsword aggravates my elbow tendonitis.
Dame getting the chance to play his hometown Warriors in round 2 of the playoffs has to be a dream of his. Beat the Clips in Game 6 and then unleash the beast from Oakland on the unsuspecting Warriors. Anything can happen with the proper motivation and opportunity.
Oh wow somehow that totally slipped my mind. Nice, that would be fun to see. Well hopefully that is enough motivation for him to take care of business tomorrow night
