That was some of the worst officiating I have ever seen

Oh, bull. We hear this every damn game and I'm sick of it. The game was close because the Blazers bricked free throws. In a fast paced game with dozens of calls some of them will miss. I saw nothing way out of line. Of course there were misses but it was not close to, for example, when the Blazers played the Lakers and the Lakers had 15 free throws before the Blazers had their first. Portland lost that game by 2 points. That was a ref decided game. This wasn't.

The team playing better usually gets calls. Blazers did not play well early. They did later. Compare calls.
Just fucking play and cram the excuses. Blazers won.

And you've GOT to make your free throws.

There was some bad calls last night but there not one official can take back made free throw and made fg. We was bricking everything in the first half I can't blame the official on that but they did miss 3 obvious calls last night but beside that I did accept the refereeing.

I think the worst part is that officiating crew was as experienced as you're going to get - all three of them are lead officials and they still were doing it.

Yes but they also have 3 teams. Also Dallas is by far the biggest area.

I don't know about Nate, but I'm actually talking about the 4th quarter.
    • Crawford leveled CJ with 6 minutes left in the 4th--no call
    • Jordan landed on CJ while challenging a jumpshot at 4 minutes left in the 4th--no call
    • Immediately after that, Redick ran into Rivers, untouched by Blazers, and got a foul call
    • Right after that, Dame was mauled by Rivers on free-throw jumpshot--no call.
Obviously we overcame it all to win, and that's great, but that 3-minute span of officiating was egregious. How could you NOT see that? That could very easily have turned the game if we were Clippers-level-mentally-fragile. Fortunately we're not.

    This.

The refs weren't really any different in the first half. They missed some calls on both ends. That 4th quarter was complete bs. That was some late 90s reffing right there.

    Just FYI,
Exactly 1 team in the last 25 years w/o Duncan or James has won a title being in the bottom half of the TV market size (Heat).

I just hope we do not get Ronnie Garretson again this year. Crawford was not much better last night either.

Glad someone else brought up the fact Golden State gets away with murder on moving screens.

Forget basketball, Kerr should consider a career as an offensive lineman coach. That shit is text book run blocking.

This was not a game about "blown calls". The refs made the calls they wanted to make, or didn't make the calls, as the situation dictated. What was clear throughout the game was that at no time were the refs going to allow the Blazers to extend a lead into double digits. Every single time we'd get up seven points, the refs would do that thing they do to even up the game. We'd get the lead, the refs would take over. Get the lead, refs take over. When we finally did extend into a double digit lead, the refs had to double up on their "bad" calls and non-calls, and boy some of those were doozies. The game management by the refs was so transparent: and just when I've been posting the NBA officiating doesn't appear to be as crooked as it used to be. My bad.

Silly Paul Allen. If he really wanted to win a championship in Portland, he should have parlayed some of his fortune into becoming a media mogul.

And isn't Texas the second largest state by population?

I'm sick of hearing that San Antonio is a "small market". Bullshit. San Antonio has fans all over Texas, and all over the country at this point. So Dallas is a bigger city? So fucking what. They aren't the Spurs.

All of this yes. Except, San Antonio is actually bigger than Dallas too. Mind blown.

Pretty sure Texas is 3rd behind California and New York. Still, your point stands.

My mistake. Not only is NY not second, it's not even 3rd (they've been passed by Florida).

I know i would rather live in Florida than New York so that makes sense.
