Sabathia with a smidgen of luck and some offense gets it done no thanks to Headley and Hicks. Been a while since we've seen this.

That's very cute : Aaron (I can't seem to hit .100) Hicks....looks like we found ourselves another whipping boy.

He's not only the best outfielder on team, he's one of the better outfielders in the league.....he's already saved a couple of runs with excellent plays in LF and RF....and he's a CF by trade.

What can we say? ....the general opinion was he was brought here to be the 4th outfielder and kinda take the place of Chris Young.
At the age of 26 and showing definite good improvement (vs LHP and RHP) last year from his first two seasons when didn't play more than 81g - 281 AB.

    2013 - .192 BA/.597OPS, vs RHP .189/.566, vs LHP .203/.713
    2014 - .215 BA/ .615OPS, vs RHP .178/.512, vs LHP .279/.792
    2015 - .256 BA/.721 OPS, vs RHP .235/.661,
    .....vs LHP ..307/.807
Had his most AB (352) in 2015...
...and he managed to steal 13/16 SB in just 95g...not too shabby.

Excuse me for being "blind homer"...but at 26 yrs old, looks to me like it's reasonable to expect a bit more overall improvement and consistency from him as he matures with more playing time. Is this outrageous?

He's making 574K this season while the great Chris Young who will be 33 yrs old before season's end is making 6.5 million this year and has "established" himself after 10 or so years as a .235 BA/ .741 OPS.
Career .263 BA/.836 vs LHP, .224/.702 vs RHP.

You mentioned Hicks - he's currently batting .143 with 2 RBI.
I can enjoy a joke as well as any...lol

Young is batting .167 with one RBI....
And of course, the guy they traded for Hicks, John Ryan Murphy is batting .083 with O RBI.

    lol......isn't it fun?
Nice outing by CC tonight......so far, not too bad for a #5 SP....oops, sorry, he's earning over 20 mil - so the whole baseball world knows he should be pitching like an ace...my bad.

Let's have some more fun, Yanks will NOT make "changes" if things continue along this way....and they'll lose 100 or so games...lmaooooo

...plus he's even been platooned vs favorable pitching match ups and still fails.

...but hey, it's one game win streak...by all means, let's break out the pompoms.
