Dog owners piss me off, if you find someone yelling at an irresponsible dog owner it might be me. That being said this lady didn't do anything wrong in my book, the cop has a history, and obvious anger and impulse issues. Pull his badge before he kills somebody.... http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/...er_doused_by_homeowner.html#incart_most-read_
On the one hand.... he overreacted. On the other, she admitted to hurling some swear words at him. It sure sounds like we're getting one side of the story. I wish they wouldn't call spraying someone with a hose "assault." She got wet... that's not the same thing as hitting someone with a bat.
If someone sprayed a hose at me, I wouldn't be screaming for the police. I'd definitely call them an asshole and give them the finger..... but call 911? Really?
Another cop goes crazy just because a citizen doesn't grovel in fear at his every word. Seems he has done it before as well. Any cop involved in this kind of incident should be drug tested.
Prosecutors stretch the law every day. They charge people with assault for turning a hose on someone. Even if they expect a judge to dismiss it, they enjoy intimidating and bullying people. I don't understand why spraying someone is assault, yet shitting on their lawn isn't assault. If he had taken a dog to her lawn for a revenge crap, she would have called the police and he'd be up for a 2nd charge. If this were a man vs. a man, both would be in hot water, but it's a man vs. a woman, so only he's in trouble.
I watched some people walk their dog in my lawn yesterday. Dog took a shit, they didnt pick it up of course. I didnt over react, just followed them home, waited till they went to bed, broke in and slit their throats and shit on the carpet. No but really i was like oh thats rude but fuck it and went on about my life. People are ass holes. Realizing you cant control their behavior is a great stress relief.
So much wrong here, I don't know where to start. 1) Shitting on the lawn is not assault because you did not make physical contact with their person. The law (usually) places a higher value on your body than on your lawn. (of course, neither the dog nor the walker was on his lawn - they were in the public right-of-way.) 2) Not picking up dog crap is a civil offense punishable by a small fine - not a crime. 3) Did you miss the part about the dog walker having a leg brace and a crutch? Try assaulting a male with a disability and see how much sympathy the law gives you.
