Miller with a very adventurous 9th but he showed some nads striking out Shrek and Hanley. Looked like McCann and Shrek had a pretty serious conversation on Shreks earlier at bat. Wonder what that was about. Good to see Headley not in the game.

Jacoby Ellsbury has a slight strain in his Hip Muscle and is listed as Day to Day as per Meredith Marakovits.

You are right Frank he is an injury waiting to happen. I am assuming he will go on the 15 day DL along with CC and Aroid. This team is just getting worse by the day.

As a Yankee fan, I knew the 'old' men would not avoid injuries
during the season, but to fall like dead flies early in the season
just shows how fragile this Yankee roster is..........and the present
Yankee management goes about its vacant business with
no adequate replacements. Par for the course with this
    junk group of idiots.

Gutsy win tonight. I will not be deceived with this win
tonight. Yankee management has failed us fans more
    than the team.

Np matter how good a team is it still needs a smidgen of luck, and occasional break, and a call going its way. We seen all of that last night. Note to Shrek: saw on ESPN that one thing you'd like to experience on your "farewell tour" is a standing ovation from Yankee Fans. I hope to hell that day never happens. Joes G & T were gentlemen, had you faced a Billy Martin Team you'd have been an early dustoff candidate,

I missed it but looking at the highlights it seems like Ortiz went into roid rage mode once again. Thankfully the dugout phones were not harmed.

^^^we finally got some breaks last night...Hicks misjudged 3 fly balls but redeemed himself by finally contributing with the bat...the Sox had the Yanx on the ropes in the 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th innings but squandered good scoring opportunities...and as far as those last 2 pitches to Ortiz, well, I think one have been a strike but not both...at the end of the day a win is a win...and I'll take it.

She's 8 and the Bronze Diamond level she's competing at is very unusual for her age. Mostly ten year olds are where she's at. She loves competing and the key is she just doesn't get nervous. She defended her state championship last night and qualified for Nationals. It's a little ways off but I'd be thrilled if she got into college with it. The Olympics is a very tough track. Pretty much takes those girls life away.

Just saw a clip of Ortiz's meltdown & seriously after also seeing his phone destruction in the dugout a while back with the bat, there's no way you can tell me that this guy is not on something.

Yeah you're right, training for and competing in the Olympics pretty much takes their childhood away from them... but it is nice to see in this day and age that a youngster is into something more than just texting on a cell phone.

...kudos for bringing her up right.

Rick, Ortiz's already promised us that he would get to the bottom of why he was on that PEDs list a few years back...not sure what else you want.:bgrin::biglaugh:

Thanks. She found her passion at a very young age. It's a lot of practice per week but she still does fine with school so thankfully no issues there.
