Seems like a nice udfa talent signing out of Sweden. 5-11 W who played with Kovacs and put up good # in his time in the SEL and WHL. If he can get physically up to par he could have a shot.

Yeah, saw that. Rangers need to drastically change the roster. Nash is the first that has to go. Keeping Hayes would be a major mistake IMO.

I would expect Gorton to be throwing a fire sale come draft time..
Ranger org needs to get talented youth.

Any one of these guys they sign and they turn into something useful is a made up draft pick to some extent. However, it's pretty rare that happens. You don't find many Zucc's or Girardi's who weren't drafted. They do exist but they aren't easy to find.

Read that Buchnevich signing could be getting close.

Hard to imagine a scenario that Buch is not here. My concern is AV jackassing around another young player and why I wish Gorton had replaced him with a young coach that will grow with a younger ranger team after the moves I think are coming this offseason.

Glass, Moore, Stalberg, Staal are goners upfront. Lindberg will miss the first 6 weeks.. I don't mind if they keep Glass but he should only be playing when the team needs some extra toughness against teams like Philly, Columbus, Boston, etc... Also depends on how much they play Big Mac...Either way Glass should be a healthy scratch most nights if he is with the team...if they don't move another forward I see Buchenvic stepping in, possibly Jensen in the fourth line and I think they should sign 2 quality UFA's for depth..

AV can't be trusted with Glass. Gorton needs to rid the team of that guy. Tell AV play McIlrath full time or he's out. Hope Martin listens to Boomer and comes to NY. Toughness issue solved.

I think there's still a chance Stalberg could return.

One player will never solve the Rangers' 'toughness' issues.
Players with an edge and talented are needed......or this team
will be pretenders. BTW...keeping Glass is ridiculous.....hands and
    feet of cement.

I bet Glass spends much of the year in CT. I think Hrivik can give the same physical nature with more skill and youth.

Well Lindberg is good enough to play on the 3rd line... 4th line needs to be reconstructed

Hrivik isn't a physical guy. Could be a mix in 13th forward. Idk it seems like other teams bring in rookies and they play well... Like the Pens with Sheary and Rust and the Isles with Prince after they acquired him. This team needs to develop some quality young forwards

He's not a big hitter or even a fighter like Glass but i think he has the size to be somewhat physical on the boards.

No doubt 71, the whole 4th line needs to be revamped.. and by the looks of it it will

It's not all that far off from a major rebuild really. I'm starting to think a few trips to the lottery might be something we need to stomach though unless you finish in the worst 10 you may as well make the playoffs.
Zucc, Kreider, Lindberg, PB, Miller, Skjei and McDonagh are the ones to work around. Turn Stepan, Brass and Hayes into other assets. Maybe one last year with all of them.
