Dame is MVP in my book based on the culture he has created with his teammates and how that has translated to the team outperforming any reasonable expectation this season, and secondly based on his own performance in the face of every team in the league game planning to stop him first, second, and third.
How the hell did Bob Myers from Golden State get third? WTF did he do this season? Don't get me wrong, he put together a great team.... but what did he do this year to earn EOY? Give me a fucking break. Anyone who is associated with that team gets votes by default. Did they have a rookie this year? Did he get votes for ROY?
Not surprising. Olshay hasnt even brought 1 star to this team ever. We were basically handed the playoffs cause we dont have any stars or good players to earn it.
The sixers GM is deffinitely better. He tanks every year for draft picks, something olshay couldnt do once. He's like the tunchi os s2 deffinitely GOAT.
How many voters are there in total? I want to know how many people didn't at least have Olshey in the top 3. Then, I want to track down those bastards down and get the phone number of their dealer, cause they are selling something potent.
It was a little more David Foster Wallace. I kept expecting to see 10 more pages of footnotes at the end.
The GM's vote for Executive of the Year. There are 30 voters total. So 13 GM's didn't have Olshey in their top 3 (Although I'm guessing that Olshey himself is one of those, likely by rule).
Maybe. Or maybe some of the GM's believed that he was to blame for Aldridge leaving and they held that against him, regardless of what else he was able to cobble together after the fact.
Well, Olshey is making the GMs look bad who traded him or passed on all of these guys we got in the summer. Not too surprising if there were some sour grapes.
Quite possible. I'm sure there are also people who think he got his lunch money stolen in the Batum trade. A year from now, Nic will have his fat deal, his numbers will have dropped 30% across the board, and people will start to figure it out.
