We're 5-5 in the playoffs after tonight...not bad for a team that's supposed to be ranked 29 out of 30th worst going into the season eh?
The Blazers have done extremely well this season. They should be proud of how far they went. People may believe Curry's comeback game was unbelievable, but I think our entire season is far more impressive. And you know, we might have lost, but we lost to the reigning champs, pushing them to the last minute. Dame and CJ will remember this game the whole off-season, let's hope they take it to heart and keep improving.
I bet that locker room is like Friday Night Lights after a game like this... I can only imagine the emotion that needs to be released after something like this... It was almost movie like, a story was told I felt.
Damn proud of this team. Fighters. Didn't the Warriors win the most game in NBA history this year. How quickly we forget........................
This team has a lot of grit but not a lot of polish. It's funny that they made it to the 2nd round, and they've played the Warriors pretty tough. This game could have easily gone the other way. We missed 9 FTs, and there were many bad calls, and if just one of those things went different we win. But of course, the Warriors totally dominated in OT. Damian needs to work on not forcing stuff that isn't there, but his supporting cast really needs improvement. This team put up a much better fight against GS than they did last year against Memphis, or the year prior vs SA.
I'm glad as I've got older I've learned how to not be so manic about my Blazers. During the game, sure. But c'mon, I know some of you are just rattled after this loss. Does it suck, sure? But, I'm watching the news now, not thinking about it. Gonna rub one out before I go to bed.
So am I, even though apparently being depressed about a loss is incompatible with cheering for the team.
I use to be as bad as anyone when it came to negativity and emotions. But I realized that the players on the team, for the most part, always give it there all no matter how talented they may or may not be. Only thing that pisses me off is officiating and people who do mail it in like Aldridge did last year. I'm glad I've changed my outlook and attitude.
