    I wonder why the researchers don't just attribute this to an unusual pattern as a result of random chance of material in the formation of the rock?

    Highly unlikely you say? The chance of this are many time more probable than the random formation of life from a random collection of material.

    I think it's pretty impressive how these "university scholars" managed to perform tests on this mystery rock considering their university doesn't exist.
