"Amsterdam" - My Wife and I said the same simultaneously. With a few days stay atop a Coffee Shop ... (one would probably not need the Ganja for the exhaust).

Given more thought, I'd hit Vienna first off- see the Performing Spanish Riding School Lipizzaner's show and tour inspect its antiquated work of art-building(s): Winterreitschule. Take the architecture tour also: - (Ref: *** 1 ).... check out every museum in sight.

    Start the day-

take the architecture tour of Wiener Konzerthaus, (Spanish RS) landmark-(Ref: *** 1 )

Take a tour of the Hofburg Palace, next door; afterwards. Get a great bite to eat in an antiquated Dining Hall, ie a street corner hot brat kraut cart....

Find a great couple of bottles of Gewürztraminer, and end the night/day over looking Salzburg...Best O' Luck, and take time to enjoy your stay/visit...(just for starters, wow, just to think)

lucky man you are Tote- benefits of hard work; in a cutting edge world...

    ARCHITECTURAL TOURS
From the stables to the attic floors of the Baroque Winter Riding School
We proudly present the Baroque roof structure of the Winter Riding School to the public. You will find yourself rewarded for the climb of 170 stairs! After visiting the Stallburg, we will proceed through the magnificent Winter Riding School and all the way up to its monumental, awe-inspiring roof structure.

The technical and aesthetic achievements of this wooden structural system, built from 2,000 pieces, are impressive. You will see the dazzling construction, experience the unique atmosphere of the attic and enjoy a fantastic rooftop view of Vienna‘s first district.

^^^Matts, I caught the Lipizzaner Stallion show when they came to town about 15 years ago. They are some beautiful animals and quite large as horses go...I was blown away by the things they were able to train those horses to do...great show.

I'm glad You got to catch the show, its riveting, stunning to say the least.

We've seen them at the GW Forum, a red carpet show, then the following year out here in the Desert. Both shows were incredible, tho' the desert show was nothing like the grander stage of the Forum....

Always have wanted to see the show in Vienna, since I was a kid, the wife also...a spectacular spectacle if there ever was one....

Good stuff guys thanks. May have a consulting side gig that gets me a weekend in London and Stockholm.

Love the Vienna idea. Been told by a buddy that the Autostadt in Wolfsburg is really cool.
