Maybe we need to be the team that comes from behind tonight

I wonder if LMA thinks he made a bad decision at this point. I know our team would be completely different if he decided to sign here, but it has to be a thought he has pondered. I'm stoked that he didn't sign, he did us a huge favor in my opinion, but it still has to be something he thinks about

Big reason I want to win tonight is so that Aldridge gets eliminated before Dame.
    Pics or it didn't happen.

This thing that keeps getting quoted, that "the Blazers are the only team to beat the Warriors 2 times this year" confuses me.

Didn't we only beat them 1 time in the regular season? Aren't we one of only two teams to play them in the post season? Didn't the Blazers have 4 extra tries to beat them 1 extra time (=2 total)?

    I don't get it. :dunno:

Why are you confused? The statement is true. We are the only team to beat them twice.

And BBert- that could hold. If they beat us, then beat Thunder in 5 or less, and Cavs in 5 or less, we'll be the only team to have beaten them twice.

Sadly if you are correct, this is 100% what will happen next: If the Blazers come out Blazing (again), the refs will temper their calls and "game manage" the home Warriors right back into it by mid-way through the second quarter. (We've all seen this happen hundreds of times). If the Blazers again pull away, the refs will again manage the home team right back into it by the fourth quarter. The fourth quarter is where games are won or lost, and usually by (1) the home team and (2) the superior team. As much as we all want the Blazers to win, the Warriors are both of those things.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the Blazers can't win, and I will be rooting with every pore for the Blazers to win. I'm saying getting a big lead on the Warriors early is a recipe for the refs to take us out of our game, maybe get us in foul trouble, and hand momentum to a Warriors team that is already running down hill.

    Tough order.

    Go Blazers!

Just think. The Spurs had an even better home record than GS this year and OKC still found to win there twice in one week's time. Maybe we can do the same to GS!

Good luck tonight, all I will say is as a Dubs fan, Warriors lost game 2 against the Grizzlies in the 2nd round on the game that the MVP ceremony was done. Tonight before the game they will do the ceremony again. I just hope its a different outcome this year. Either way great season for Portland and the fans, young new team with a great future ahead of them regardless of tonights outcome.

It was either him or Chris Paul. I'm glad it's Dame.
