Dame said when he was walking to the locker room last night a lot of the security and people he knew from Oakland were telling him Oakland was proud of him even though none of them said anything the rest of the series. Said next time he's in that situation he wants to be the one telling them "goodbye".
    Damn Dame.

Has a player and coach ever been traded together in a package deal?

He's ice cold, and puts that chip on his shoulder. It's how greatness works.

Not that I know of but almost. Doc was traded from BOS to LAC and the Clippers were also trying to get Paul Pierce in that trade but ultimately they didn't.

Dame is powerful man. When this dude speaks you listen. Hope he's part of the Blazers organization even after he retires.

He's probably the smartest man we've had on the team ever (mayyyybeeee Kerr or Ainge are on his level); he explains things that are hard for laymen to understand in a clear manner, which is a skill only the best have. That's what leaders need: the ability to get people to buy in, because they understand.

Harkless said the focus this summer is working on the jump shot and work on the body (getting stronger and faster) with a little focus on finishing at the rim.

Pretty duh stuff but once again smart that he sees it.

Harkless said the energy in this building is off the charts. Basically saying like nothing he has experienced before. He wants to be able to practice with the team tomorrow.

Edit: Also said he would LOVE to return.

Harkless also said the chemistry off the court is what helped the on the court chemistry. He mentioned hanging at Dame's house.

And he is waxing poetry about Dame in general and how he lets others take the limelight at times. Has some major love for the guy.

Seems like most guys that come to Portland like it. It's convincing them to come. Always some idiots that don't like it once they are there though. I guess I get it?

Probably; he's a naturally charismatic guy, and people will be drawn to that.

He is. I am really hoping he gets out on the recruiting trail. He, above maybe any ither Blazer in history, seems to be a great salesman for the Blazers. Small market kid, National advertisements. Seems to love the city. Unselfish star

Henderson said after experiencing playoff success that he really wants to be on a team that continues to do that. He said it is hard to get on an elite team but that is an option. Also an option right here of continuing to win in the playoffs. Sounds to me like he wants to go to a contender if not here.

Henderson also said he would love to get back to starting in the NBA. It isn't as important to him as it was 3 or 4 years ago but he feels like he can still start in this league.

Henderson has loved his time here. Incredible staff all around from trainers to coaches down to the little people at the arena. He can't imagine being on a better team in that area then here. Definitely would be a place he would like to play he said.
