We should have sign Lamarcus Aldridge, would have beat the Warriors.

Yeah, it's one thing to post dumb stuff, but if he/she/it's going to keep making these threads just put him/her/it out of his/her/its misery.

It's always pretty easy to tell... Day after a elimination or a big rivalry loss, mocking or overly "realistic" look how not good the team really is... and the poster has been a member since ohh... That day, and has ohhh 1 post. Yeah I'm Sherlock Fucking Holmes.

I agree with the op. If we would have re-signed LMA, we probably would have beat the Warriors.

Yeah, 73-9 would have gone down 4-2. Fuck that would have been motherfucking embarassing.

Whatever his reasons/problems, LA didn't want to be in Portland. I watched a few of his games with the Spurs and it was hard to believe it was the same guy, watching how hard he ran after loose balls and the effort he put into the little things he didn't do here.

No argument that LA, even with the effort he put in while in Portland, is an awesome weapon, and he'd have changed the matchups in a very tangible way. However, if he's here, there's still almost certainly be issues over the team leadership, the chemistry almost certainly would have suffered. The more I read about LA's attitude, the more I am glad he's not in Portland mucking things up.

Bay Area is whack (San Jose in particular) . . . expensive as hell, not much to do without having to drive hours aways, drought, occasional earthquakes, shitty airport for being the hear of Silicon Valley, etc. But every city's got it's downfalls.

Speaking of which, doesn't this nimrod have anything better to do? It's an absolutely picture perfect day in the Bay today - get out and enjoy the weather; celebrate your (#1 seed) team's victory over the 5th seed instead of trolling the opposing team's forum. Tells you everything you need to know about this joker.

And btw, cut the GSW fans some slack . . . they do have to go to Oakland to watch the games. I am thankful every time I'm able to leave Oakland with all my belongings and my life. Be thankful you don't live in that abomination of a city.

Ive spent a little time in San Jose, that place is HUGE!!!!. I dont think most people know that San Jose is the third largest in the bay area and damn near second.
Walking the downtown streets of San Jose, I found myself feeling that there were an unusually high percentage of wackos walking around compared to other cities I have trekked. IT might have to do with all the liqueur stores I passed too though...

San Jose has just over 1 million residents and, I believe, is the largest city in the Bay Area (I think you meant to say that SJ is the 3rd largest city in CA?). SF has under 900k residents but everyone is packed into a much smaller area. Even then, I don't think of SJ as huge; LA is huge, I spent a few years after college in LA and have lots of family down there and it never ceases to amaze me what a sprawling mass of civilization it is. SJ is nothing compared to that - and downtown SJ is probably one of the worst of any metropolitan city I've been to. Despite the massive amounts of money here, our skyline is totally unremarkable due to the proximity of the airport which limits building heights. Not much culture to speak of. But SF definitely way more wackos per capita than SJ - not sure where you were hanging out ;)

What we do have is good weather, good paying jobs, and great real estate. We bought our house at the right time and it has quadrupled in price . . . and some point in the not so distant future after career winds down and kids head off to school, we'll likely cash out and get the hell out of here (this is, if our city and house haven't fallen into the ocean by then).

There are some nice areas in Oakland. I almost lived in Piedmont about 4 or 5 years ago - probably a nicer area than anywhere I have ever seen in San Jose. However, Oakland at large is a mess - and east-bay traffic is awful.
