Al Horford has been the Hawks heart and soul since he first arrived as a rookie from the Florida. Fresh off two national championships back-to-back, Horford was drafted to be the centerpiece (pun intended) to a Hawks squad trying to get over the hump to become legit contenders in the Eastern Conference. Essentially, he did; the Hawks have made it to the playoffs in every season he’s been with the team (9) and won six series total in that time span. But, they also have been bounced out of the first round four times and swept four times; twice coming against the Cleveland Cavaliers. With free agency looming for Horford, he has already put it out there that he wants to stay in Atlanta.
