Charlotte Bobcats vs. Indiana PacersThe Bobcats had home court on opening night to square off against Indiana and Jermaine O' Neal. They were hoping for a big win for their home crowd to start the season off. The beginning of the first was a defensive showdown with good contention on shots and Strong D in the paint led to only a 10-6 Indiana led 4 minutes in. With Stephen Jackson leading the Pacers it looked as if they were starting to pull away, despite the close score. They pushed it up to a 16- 6 lead when Gerald Wallace stripped the ball from Stephen Jackson and slammed it home on the other end he was also fouled at the other end for a 3 point play. The Bobcats finished the 1st with a 12-0 run and lead the Pacers 18-16. The Bobcats started the 2nd with the same momentum and a 27-21 lead. These time being carried by Al Harrington with 8 points in only 2 minutes. Leaving his game total at 10 points 5 rebounds. The Bobcats continued their steady play to take a 46-41 lead into the locker room at half.At The end of 3 the Bobcats were holding on to a 67-64 lead going into the 4th and with the help of Al Harrington they were hoping to keep it that way, but they would also need to shut down Stephen Jackson. Charlotte Bobcats @ Memphis GrizzliesAfter coming off an opening night win, the Bobcats would hope to go 2-0 with a win in their first away game of the year in Memphis.The first quarter started out with strong Bobcat play and a 10-2 lead to show for it. But the Memphis Grizzlies came back to shorten the lead to 17-15 later on, as Gasol dominated Harrington offensively and also shut him down defensively. But a strong finish and a 3 point buzzer beater for Felton, gave the Bobcats a 27-20 lead at the end of 1.The Second quarter was low scoring as the Bobcats only were able to manage 16 points. The Grizzlies came back with another 20 points including a chuck from the opposite side of the court in for a buzzer beater, and an incredible basket by Damon Stoudamire. Al Harrington continued to struggled and when in to the half with 3 fouls, his team went in with a 43-40 lead.The Bobcats had a tough 3rd quarter, the Grizzlies had finally figured them out defensively and retook the lead, their first time sense early on in the game.
