It's a shame Bird got hurt. He would be the perfect solution to this stiff we have playing first base. In the past month he has no homers and two RBIs. Headley is more of an asset right now.

Teixeira's Yankee career cannot end soon enough for me..............

    1 for his last 19
    4 for his last 41
1 RBI over his last 12 games
No HRs since April 13th (24 games)
    Is currently hitting 194
And clueless Joe treats him like he's Willie Mays by continuing to put him in the heart of the batting order so he can get more ABs.

DAMN! I hope Bird heals okay to start his Yankee career next season.

Don't worry, Brain Cashman will make the smart move, call up Swisher problem solved. I heard Tex would like to play after this season, anywhere but the Yankees even if he does get productive.

Michael even if he is lucky enough to be signed by another team he's not going to get ANYWHERE near the numbers he's use to making. And I'll be shocked if anyone gives him more than two years.

Watch him at the plate. He has been completely lost for a month. Like he's not even seeing the ball. In all seriousness Headley has been having much better at bats than him lately and sadly I'd prefer Headley in the lineup over Tex at this point.

Can't help thinking a short time ago tex stating he wanted to play another 5 or 6 years with the yanks. Hey mark, no thanks. Steal some other teams money and take headily, ells bury, cc, pineda and a few others with you.

Cashman would be dumb enough to give Tex that extra time and money. Did not read the River Avenues Blues article but the header was that the Yankees are thinking contract extensions to Pineda and Eovaldi. Bad move in my view, especially to Pineda.
