It seemed like an okay idea when our window for winning was LaMarcus's and not Lillard's... now it looks foolish for sure, but only as a symptom of the foolishness in catering to LaMarcus in the first place.
I disagree with the article. The only young player that we might have to give up is Leonard and we would still have Vonleh, who could become a better player than Leonard. And as far as him saying the free agents out there are risky, well I certainly don't think Mahinmi and Horford are risky and I would go after both.
So this part of the article isn't true? "General manager Neil Olshey can simply ride the roster he has right now if his preferred targets are not available and likely still make the playoffs. That's a luxury not a lot of general managers have. Then, next offseason, he could go after one of the many high-caliber players that will be available in a very deep free agency class."
Not that this really needs to be said, but it's Barkley. I was recently listening to sports talk down here in the Bay Area and on came former Kings coach Eric Musselman. He spoke of sitting in with the TNT crew one game night. He relayed watching the first half of the game with the guys, but that Charles was screaming at the TV in the adjacent room with some of the production guys watching pro wraslin'. When halftime rolled around he rejoined the set, glanced at the box score & then proceeded to do a majority of the talking breaking down the first half's play w/Musselman unable to say much more then hello. I hope they make a run at Ezeli STOMP
This does not surprise me. I've said many times in the past that I doubted Barkley even watches NBA basketball. For some reason I got the impression this year either I was wrong or he's been paying more attention. It couldn't be because he's saying what I like to hear, could it? Haha.
