Transcendent players often have rules added to the game to partially neutralize their unfair advantage. Mikan begat goaltending, a wider lane, and the shot clock. Barkley begat the five second post up rule. Shaq begat the intentional foul rule.

What rule would you devise to make the game more fair in the light of Steph Curry? You can't move the three point line back further out; his range is unlimited. Move it in? More aggressive penalties for moving picks? If you're the commissioner, what's your rule?

Taking a shot from 30ft with a hand in your face is an automatic miss

Change the definition of an illegal screen so the down field blocking and after screen clear outs are prohibited. Both GS and the Clippers practice this to perfection. It's ironic and frustrating that players are called for fouls while trying to get set and use textbook form on a pick, meanwhile since Bogut never gets stationary on his screens he can just push the defender five feet away from the ball handler. And no, it usually is not in the defenders direction of travel but just the opposite.

The moving picks do need to be cleaned up. That said, it wouldn't slow him down that much....maybe a couple of shots per game.

I think that's all it takes; the rules aren't designed to nullify what makes them special, just eliminate any rules or lack that they're taking unfair advantage of.

    Bring hand check\physical-play back.

Right now GSW are using Green\Bogut\Ezeli as goons who shove Curry\Klay's defender out of the way so they can get an open shot.
The game now is basically a competition of who can get away with more illegal moves without getting caught.

It's an illegal screen pretty much every time down the floor.

Make the Warriors fire Kerr and hire a more traditional coach like Nate "Sarge" McMillan. He wouldn't put up with that flashy shoot whenever and wherever BS. He would start a more traditional point guard like Steve Blake in order to show Curry how the game is suppose to be played.

Don't change shit. As stated, call moving picks properly. I guess I would change one rule, performance enhancing drugs are all legal. If Shaq or Tim Duncan wants to take something and keep playing forever fine by me.

Allow hand checking above the 3 point line and, as others have said, call the moving screens consistently.

That said, I think the NBA loves the long ball and has no intention of changing anything to reduce its use.

...this reminds be of the Seahawks' secondary (LOB) and their constant holding on defense. They said fuck it, may as well hold and grab every play because the refs won't flag us every down. Low and behold, they won a championship "cheating" this way.

I really do think steph would be more effective standing in the corner every play just in case there is an emergency kick out.

Actually enforce palming and traveling calls in the same way that they did pre-Iverson. Dude would still shoot lights out but he'd be turning it over far more.

I've said here a few times here that I think a 4-point shot would be a great idea - from about 26 feet (3-pointer is 22 feet). It would end the silly foul-foul-hope-he-misses-a-freethrow "strategy" at the end of games that never works. And it would reward guys like Steph and Dame who can bomb away. It would be so exciting.

Kerr is a very cynical guy, i bet this is EXACTLY what goes through his head when guiding his players.

I think i had it with the NBA, i think i'm taking 1 year off. Last few games of watching the Whoreiors made me sick to my stomach.

How about penalizing the push offs? Curry pushes off to create space on every shot.

The push offs and the illegal screens there both offense fouls but until the league hold official accountable by not calling them it will never change.

Very true. And the push off has become a basketball staple. You pretty much see it on every drive to the hoop by pretty much every player, including our own. Why do you think floppers get away with it so often? There are small subtle push offs so often that they just have to wait for what they know is coming and accentuate the contact.
