And Bird's reasoning for letting Vogel go was to improve the offense?

Maybe Larry went senile..... Or behind the scenes Vogel wanted a big raise, and the pacers don't wanna spend cash.

    Damn son you're fast.

And not entirely, Larry said they need a 'new voice' to lead the players. I still think that the coaching turnaround in this league is out of hand. Some of the situations seem to warrant it (I'd argue this is one of them) but many of them seem like they are done because the front office doesn't know how to bring the right coach in to lead the players (Blatt).

    Here's the tweet:

Well I hope they enjoy painfully slow basketball with iso plays ad nauseam.

Next to Doc Rivers, Nate McMillan, without exaggeration has to be one of the most overrated coaches in NBA history. And I suspect that if PA really does have some reluctance to sign Stotts to a well paid and long term contract, it's because he still feels burned for buying into....and overpaying for....the McMillan hype. This is a classic case of recycling garbage because a team doesn't have a front office with the imagination or the courage to go in new and different directions. The old boy network lives on........

I really like this move...gets the Blazers that much closer to Paul George demanding a trade to Portland!

Awesome! I really like Steve Blake and he deserves the max deal that Nate will make the Pacers give him.

McMillan has probably learned many tricks from Vogel and Bird. The question is, has Pritchard?

Damn! Do they ever bring new blood into this league...... talk about the old boys network. Wonder if this will help Joey Buckets get more playing time..... no  he's just not that good.

Good for Nate! I actually think he'll be a good fit for the Pacers.

Nate: "Larry, I believe in a really fast paced game that's slowed down to prevent unnecessary turnovers."

    Hello darkness, my old friend
That pitch wouldn't be hard for him, he kept making that pitch as Blazers coach too. "We want to run, we want to push the ball, we just need to avoid turnovers." He wants to run...as long as there's no risk of a turnover. So, his teams don't run. But he's not anti-pace. He's pro-fantasy-land-pace.

First KP, now Nate. How long before Tom Penn is a Pacer Executive?

What a historically bad hire. How do you say AssClown in Indiana?

I don't know man. One thing Coach Nate was never without here was LaMarcus' ego. I'm not going to completely right him off as a head coach. Depending on their off-season, I don't necessarily see Indiana falling off because of this. If they make the right moves I think they can find their way back to home court in the East.

As crazy as it sounds they could start by bringing back Hibbert... Assuming all those bad blood rumors between PG and Roy were just that.
