The Axl Rose-fronted AC/DC played their third show together Friday night at Marseilles, France's Stade Velodrome, where the band unleashed their Highway to Hell favorite "If You Want Blood (You Got It)" onstage for the first time since October 2003.

Although the setlists have so far remained largely the same with the Guns N' Roses singer subbing for longtime vocalist Brian Johnson, the band has dug into their catalog to revisit songs that haven't played in years: At all three Rose gigs, the band have performed "Rock n' Roll Damnation" for the first time since their 2003 tour. AC/DC have also revived "Riff Raff" for the first time since 1979 to suit their replacement vocalist, who covered the Powerage track with Guns N' Roses.

While Rose's performance has quieted skeptics who questioned his ability to emulate Bon Scott and Brian Johnson, there are still people – including former drummer Phil Rudd –who criticize the band for carrying on with Johnson. In a recent interview with the New Zealand Herald(via Ultimate Classic Rock), Rudd, who was dropped by the band after he was arrested on a litany of criminal charges, admitted he still wants to rejoin AC/DC, even if he doesn't recognize them anymore.

"I am not saying I never hope of ever playing with AC/DC again but, then again, is it even AC/DC any more? No Bon [Scott]‘s beautiful voice. No Malcolm [Young]. No Brian [Johnson]," said Rudd, who recently completed his home detention sentence.

Angus has turned ACDC into a glorified tribute group. There is no ACDC without Malcolm or Brian. Nothing against Stevie though. He's a decent enough guitarist. I've never cared for post Bon ACDC much any way. Bon had the best screech in the business outside of Paul Rodgers.

This wasn't the best song he sang. His voice lends itself to some songs better than others. Overall he does a fine job. I hope that Brian can come back to the band but only time will tell.

Bon Scott was irreplaceable, he had a one of a kind voice that just can't be duplicated.

I watched an interview with Axl and the band. There are no future plans beyond the tour dates Axl is helping AC/DC to fulfill. Though Axl did sound open to the idea.

I saw AC/DC for the first time up in Seattle in February of '82 then again here in Portland January of '91.

What's with Axl's boot? Angus Young afraid Axl will do his stupid snake dance?

I've tried to find out what happened to Axl but to no avail. All I could find out was that it will come off in a couple weeks. It should make for a better show since Axl likes to move about the stage while singing.
