We.........the Yankee fans..... really need this one tonight.
The only problem is I do not know if anyone on this team
feels as urgent. These players just play behind the 8 ball.
Really, just another thought......I have been bored to sleep
with their play on the west coast.

...Yankee fans, I'm sorry, but we are in a "nuclear winter" as far as this franchise goes.

...said it before and I'll say it again, as much as it pains me to admit it, the Yanx may not win another Title in my lifetime.

Holy crap, as of this moment we currently have 3 regs batting 270 or better. Castro, Ellsbury & McCann.

And Eovaldi has now retired 18 batters in a row throwing a 1 hitter through 6 innings.

I don't know why you would take Eovaldi out of the game. Just a senseless move.

The guy is throwing a 1 hitter on only 85 pitches. I'll tell you Vic, NOTHING Girardi does surprises. but I'm sure he'll put his usual bullshit spin on it in the post game interview.

All season long Girardi has been talking about how the starters need to go deeper into the games to save the bull pen & tonight his starter was doing just that. Only 85 pitches through 6 innings.

Memo to Girardi, just because you have Betances, Miller & Chapman doesn't mean you HAVE TO use them.

^^^Vic at the start of the season I asked what would the Yankees do if Teixeira ends up having a super year like 35 HRs, 120 RBI & a decent average. Well, I guess we won't have to wonder about that now. I'm sure someone will sign him during the off season but no way will he get the years or money he's use to making.

It's just absurd. It's May 19th and he's sitting with 3 homers and 11 RBIs. I don't think he has a homer since mid April. Headley has been performing better.

I agree Vic, his last HR was April 13th. 30 games & 108 ABs ago.

He's also only driven in 3 runs during that same span (30 games) And hasn't driven in a run in his last 14 games.
