even with Miller spotting the D'backs a HR in the 8th, (brought back memories of the 01 Series, game 7, Mo' vs Gonzo)....

I've got to say, seeing Betances-Miller-Chapman come into the game(s), is a real treat, the only prob is getting to the 7th....

no one can say the Yanx don't have perhaps the greatest Bullpen in MLB, at least with these 3; - yet middle relief dominance would be a nice touch, ...

Tonight's starting lineup.........Vic you got your wish, No Teixeira.

    CF - Ellsbury (278)
    LF - Gardner (240)
    DH - Beltran (245)
    C - McCann (268)
    2B - Castro (283)
    3B - Headley (207)
    1B - Ackley (140)
    SS - Gregorius (238)
    RF - Hicks (208)

Girardi has replaced the 200 hitting Teixeira with the 140 hitting Ackley. I'm sure there's some logic here.................. somewhere.

    ______________

Ackley starting over Tex- could simply be a case of a mgr "benching" a player who has been stinking up the place with his bat down to .203, going 0-5 last night with 3 K in favor of ANY OTHER warm body for tonight and the player who is being sat down has been recently personally called out by the owner.

Whew! glad I was able to say all of that without losing my breath.

I have no problem with the mgr benching Tex.

Has gentleman Joe pretended yet Tex was getting a night off because he was "a little banged up" ?

That's usually a cute little excuse for nice guy mgrs.

who in the fk would name their newborn- "Coco Crisp"..? Maybe Count Chocula and His Wife- Betty Crocker...

Good to see Ellsbury continue getting on base, nice bloop hit. Jacoby has to stay healthy, for this team to succeed. He's on track to have a good year (stat wise), a .341 OBP this yr., .343 combined Lifetime...

^^^He really needs to cut down on his swing. He's taking cuts like he's trying to hit the ball 500 feet.

His birth name is Coveli Loyce Crisp. His sister nicknamed him Coco when he was a kid. And when joining the ML he put down that his nickname was "Coco" and it just stuck. So much so that he legally changed it to Coco in 2013.

Hey beltran only a professional baseball player making zillions. Why the fuck would he be expected to know their are 2 outs and he should have scored standing up instead of going 2nd to 3rd. Should have his ass yanked from this game.

we need the revolving door policy after 4 weeks of nada.

I once thought with Ellsbury, Gardner and DD, this team would easily steal >120 bases. I was only fooling myself, wishful thinking...

    WTF is going on here?
Last night Headley gets a brain cramp and allows a runner to score from 3rd with the infield playing in and now Beltran forgets how many outs there are which costs the Yanks a run- in a 1 run game! Every little league 3rd base coach must be laughing.

I know Beltran is an old pro but I wonder if ML "coaches" still hold up two fingers to remind runners there are two outs?

    crissakes

    yee haa!
    whoa nelly!

If our biggest problem is Gregorius sucks w/risp, then this team is far worse than expected.
    Chalk up 90 losses!
