Sorry I didn't make a real game thread, I forgot the game started at 2:00 pm, and it's already on. So, post your thoughts on the game in this thread anyway.

So far, Green looks great. He's putting the ball on the floor, taking good shots, and his windmill was just sick! Al is working hard down low, but he doesn't look to comfortable when he's double teamed. Rondo looks awsome, I love watching the guy play. He's been playing outstanding defense, deflecting a few passes. Telfair is doing alright, he's taken a few shots, and he hit one jumper. Josh Smith looks good, hes def. not looking to shoot right now. But he's playing good defense, and he had a great block on GG. Right now it's a pretty fun game to watch, but Gerald better not rack up any more fouls, because he's playing great.

Atlanta: 47Boston: 40Al Jefferson: 11 points, 11 rebounds, 2 blocks, 5 TO on 5-11 shooting in 20 minutesAl has been great, but he needs to cut down on the turnovers and the C's need to gethim more involved in the offense. His rebounding has been great though..and hes been getting a lot of second chance baskets which we need with our lack of shooters when GG isn't out there.Ryan Gomes: 4 points, 3 rebounds, 2 TO on 2-4 shooting in 15 minutesI really can't complain about how Gomes is playing because he hasn't been trying to do too much, but he needs to stop settling for mid-range shots and drive to the hoop...hes a versatile player and needs to show it..but hes been good.Rajon Rondo: 7 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, 0 TO on 2-6 shooting in 14 minutesRondo has been solid as usual and has been great on the boards...whenever hes in there he makes plays and that's what I expect out of him in the second half..I'd like to see more assists..hes gotten some sweet passes but they have ended up being fouled after getting the ball or missed shots. It isn't his fault he doesn't have assists but he needs to find guys for better looks for them.Gerald Green: 14 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal, 3 TO on 5-11 shooting in 17 minutesGerald has been playing phenomenal so far. He was playing great and was making shots he should of been taking. He also had a pretty sweet windmill dunk...and he will probably be on sportscenter after being blocked by Josh Smith. But GG has done what we need him to do and take shots and score. He's a scorer and that's what he's been doing.Leon Powe: 0-1 shooting in 1 minutePowe has not been in there at all. No comment. Just a suggestion: DOC PUT POWE IN. THE KID's NICESebastian Telfair: 0 points, 3 assists, 1 steal on 0-3 shooting in 19 minutesBassy has sucked..he hasn't hit any shots..hes making some good passes but that's it. It isn't like he's playing AWFUL but he could be a lot better..we need him to step it up and hit shots.Kendrick Perkins: 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 TO in 2 minutesPerk hasn't played at all..he had a few rebounds but he hasn't played enough to judge. I hope Doc plays him a bit more in the 2nd half. I also hope it isn't the injury aggrevating him.Michael Olowokandi: 1 rebound, 1 block in 3 minutesKandi has done nothing. A rebound and a block, but it didn't really have any effect on the gameAllan Ray: 4 points, 1 rebound, 2 TO on 1-3 shooting in 8 minutesAllan isn't expected to be amazing or score a lot, but he has been ineffective in the minutes he was out there..he needs to shoot better on the line too..he was lights out in college but he seems to have lost it in the NBA..he got a nice dish from Rondo and drive and was fouled..he made one of the shots out of 2...I'd rather see him finding his shot and making them. Overall he has played poorly while he was out there.Analysis: The Celts have played pretty sloppy. There have been WAY too many turnovers and mismatches. Fouling has also been a constant problem with this team all year. We need to keep involving Gerald Green and Al Jefferson in the offense if we wanna win.

OK, now this time, I KNOW for a fact we had a timeout... It's 98-96, Hawks lead, and we have the ball with 10 seconds left. CALL A f*cking TIMEOUT DOC! You friggen idiot! What is your reasoning behind not calling a timeout there? Unbelievable...

Another thing with Doc: Al picked up his 4th foul with 6:09 left in the 3rd quarter.. yet you leave him in? Result: Al picks up his 5th foul in the closing seconds of the 3rd quarter. THEN Doc puts Al back in, with 5 fouls, with 8 minutes to go in the 4th? Too early, too risky. Granted, Al luckily did not foul out, but that doesn't matter. Still stupid decisions by Doc.

And to top it off, Gerald was blocked by Childress.. he was also hit on the hand!

Al Jefferson
18 points, 17 rebounds, 4 blocks on 8-14 shooting
Al was phenomenal once again. Just wow! He was a monster on the glass as usual, and he really played efficiently offensively. Al didn't force anything, he split the double-team a couple times, and he got some great offensive rebounds. Also, 2 BIG blocks. BIG blocks at the end of the game. Great job Al.

Gerald Green
22 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals on 8-18 shooting, 3-6 3FG, 3-4 FT
Gerald had an outstanding first half, despite the 3 fouls. He came off screens beautifully, knocked down his shots, took his defender to the basket, and made some nice moves to the basket. In the second half, he struggled with his shot a little bit, but he also hit two HUUUUUGE three's in a row. I am so happy to see Gerald excelling as the #1 option.

Oh, and that windmill... just crazy.

Allan Ray
22 points (career high), 2 rebounds, 1 steal on 6-9 shooting, 3-5 3FG, 7-8 FT in 28 mins
A-Ray was incredible tonight. INCREDIBLE! I'm giving him the player of the game for how he played off the bench. Not only was he aggressive and not only was he hitting his shots, hit some CLUTCH shots... including that fallaway 3 from the right side. Ray was phenomenal, and I'm so happy for him.

Rajon Rondo
9 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 steals, 1 block on 3-11 shooting in 36 mins
Also, NO TURNOVERS, once again. Rondo missed runners, but he played a terrific game. He made some outstanding defensive plays, he set up shooters beautifully off screens, as you see he banged for boards with the trees, and he brought a ton of energy for all 36 minutes he was in the game. I love Rondo, and I think he deserves the start on Friday.

Ryan Gomes
12 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists on 5-12 shooting
Gomes made a boneheaded play in the 4th quarter when he was wide open on the break and he didn't catch Rondo's perfect pass to him. But he really finished the ball well around the basket tonight. He could have done a better job defensively, but it's not easy guarding athletes like Josh Smith and Marvin Williams.

Sebastian Telfair
13 points, 1 rebound, 4 assists, 1 steal on 4-10 shooting, 3-5 3FG
Bassy had a horrid first half, then he nailed 3 three's in a row in the third, but other than those shots, he really didn't do well today. He did make one very nice drive to the basket, and he drove and kicked a couple times, but he did not play well. Salim killed him.

Kendrick Perkins
2 rebounds, 2 assists in 12 minutes
Perk didn't play much tonight. He's obviously still hurting, you can tell when he runs. I just hope he gets back soon.

Leon Powe
0-1 shooting, 9 minutes
He didn't play much, but he did take a beautiful charge (then, of course, he got taken out of the game 3 seconds later).

Michael Olowokandi
1 rebound, 1 block in 6 minutes
I remember the little block, but he barely played and he did nothing really worth writing about.

22 points on 6-9 FG, 3-5 3FG, clutch play

At this point you can't really worry about winning games, you gotta be happy with how the young guys played in this game. Green, Al, Ray, Rondo all stepped up there game and it was an awsome game to watch. Great game though.

Right. I mean with the injuries we have (basically our entire starting lineup), you can't expect wins. But I love the fight and heart these kids have been showing without guys like Pierce/Wally/TA/etc. I'm very happy that these young players are stepping up and showing what they can do.

However, I'm still a die hard that wants to see the Celtics win when they have an opportunity to, and seeing Doc Rivers NOT call a timeout (once AGAIN) with 10 seconds left (down 2) is just frustrating and STUPID.

Oh my god, lol, I know. As soon as he went to the ground, I thought to myself "it's broken, isn't it?" [IMG] I'm so happy he ended up ok.

Imagine what Al's f*cking nose would have looked like if he broke it? [IMG]

We can't finish games. We play soo good in the 1-3rd quarters but once we get to the 4th, we just stink. We still are there, but with like 2:00 we just choke. Allen Ray played amazing tonight. Rondo actually almost had a triple double. Once we get are stars back, Doc better keep Green in the starting 5.

Well, we had a terrible first quarter today. We only scored 15 points in the first quarter and we played bad defense, as well as turned the ball over. In the first quarter, the only one playing well for us was Gerald. But you are right, for the most part, we are ALWAYS in game but we never close them out. Closing out games comes with maturity and experience, however. Not to mention leadership, and our best player and leader is our right now (as well as our starting point guard). I wouldn't worry about this for the long haul, we are starting our second unit and our bench consists of 3 rookies and Kandi-Man.

I would LOVE to see Gerald stay in the starting lineup when both Paul and Wally get back, but I honestly don't see it happening. Doc favors the veterans over the youth in every situation, no matter how poorly they have been. I see Gerald getting around 20-24 mpg off the bench when Pierce/Wally are healthy, but I do think it would be best for this organization and Gerald's career to give him the starts for experience.
