You don't need to look any further than the fact that many companies openly state goals for hiring a specific percentage of women or minority groups to know that MM's issue happens.

Blah blah... more white males complaining about another thing that literally doesn't have any effect on their upward mobility.

    Your tears are salty...

Mediocre Man just gave a real good example of what dviss and I and others are saying. Why does everyone say white Christian straight men can't understand blah blah blah.

No one has said that. No one.
What we HAVE said is we are damn sick and tired of the assumption that ONLY white Christina straight men can understand and rule the world, not to mention rule over everyone who is not a white Christian straight man. That everyone who is NOT white Christian straight male is an "outlier". A "demographic". An "interest group".

And every time we point out that white Christian straight men have dominated business, politics, media, etc. someone comes along and says "but why are you saying white Christian straight men can't understand blah blah blah..."

Mixing business with social justice is a piss poor mixture. I promoted a black lady to manager once not to correct discrimination, but to put the best person I had available in the position because I felt she would be the most effective. I did get credit for the affirmative actions numbers though somewhat to my irritation.

Hiring college kids on the affirmative action programs was a disaster in my view. Changing the GPA requirement to target Blacks in favor white kid resulted in
not really being able to hire anyone. The few Black kids that could qualify, top students in their category, didn't want the jobs being recruited, the white kids that would take them, couldn't be hired because of the ridiculous GPA requirement. It was bad business.

Ha! Then I think of crandc in place of the black lady above. Ha! probably never happen! She would never in years and years do what the necessary
to make me think she would be the most effective manager available. I think it would rub her way wrong to ever give up her position to wail about discrimination.

    So salty... from dviss above

What ever the fuck that means. Ha! I think you and crandc have so much in common. Never give up the position from which to wail.

Back to the main issue of the thread, the article. I think the fellow is confusing character type issues with race. Perhaps some character types are more prevalent in one race vs another and I doubt that study will ever be done, but even so that would not make the issue racial. Now I could write about 10 pages on this subject but not today, probably never.

The fact you call it "wailing" says more about you than it does about us. :dunno:

Your preconceived notions have already conducted this study.

No MarAzul, no matter what you want to believe, skin tone does not have any bearing on whether or not a certain demographic is say, prone to violence...

Never said it did, in fact I am saying the opposite. However, you just verified you have no idea what I am talking about, neither does the fellow that wrote the article.

I'm quite certain I would not want to work for MarAzul. You see, it is possible in the Internet age to see of employers are good places for women, and good places to be LGBT. I doubt if MarAzul, if he was running a business, would have a gay friendly one.

Besides, I would want any place I worked for to be fact based. Not getting snippets from scandal sheets and creationist web sites.

I can just see the company manual at a MarAzul company: "God gave you a dick and an instructional manual!"

But that complaint is based in reality, rather than imagination. Some people see that there are more of x in a given field and assume/assert it's because of racism/sexism. And yet many of those organizations that are supposedly sexist/racist are actually trying to recruite people to feel target quotas. So that's a logical contradiction.

I have hired gay people though, not intentional, because I never ask and don't want to know. It worked fine for me and those that I later became aware of via other people thinking I needed to know.

It makes me laugh that you see this but only associate the tactic with republicans.
