...enjoy the day off, have a cook out...but don't lose sight of what this hallowed Holiday is all about. ...everyone knows someone or is related to someone who was killed in the line of duty...take time to remember.
Enjoy your day Ron and thank you to everyone who has served. This is a wonderful day of remembrance. These brave men and women deserve it because I'm afraid we're entering a period where they're being forgotten and vastly overlooked.
The Current Occupant of the White House says that Veterans embody the best of America. Well Barry this Retired Army Sergeant says that during my time I had Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter and Regan as my Commander in Chief. Were I to meet those still surviving I would address them as Sir or Mr. President and mean it. No service under Daddy or Son Bush but I'd extend the same courtesy. Slick Wille and Barry avoid at all costs.
