I don't want him having any hand in trying to rebuild this disaster. We need new blood with new ideas to control this roster. Cashman's only go to solution has been to continue to weigh down this team with bad contract after bad contract. If the Brothers Grimm want to make a statement they can show Cashman the door as soon as possible.

I'd like to see the tadpoles sell the team to an ownership group that will restore pride in the franchise.

Maybe with Jeter as a minority owner

Rick, I don't think it is a question of balls, Ownership only cares about the money, they simply don't care

You could be right Frank. Its a damn shame how the Steiner boys have run this team right into the ground by TOTALLY destroying the tradition of this once great franchise that there father worked so hard to build.

amen, my exact thoughts and have been, since RE2PECT retired....

An investment group dead serious (and capable financially, as well as strategically crafty/mentally; enough to build another series of dynasties, covering the next millennium....With Jeter as the Team Ownership's Figurehead....

Theo, left all of MLB his template for success, ....fkng take it and apply...

Tadpole and his Trashcan have never been capable, rather 'culpable'....

Saw those plays on Quick Pitch this am. Ichiro can still boogie with the best, Nunez, liked his bat but not the iron glove. Quick Pitch also featured that 9th inning DP done by the Yankee infield.

Nunez had good tools as a Yankee and still does- fast, can steal alot of bases always was a pretty good hitter, strong arm, unfortunately he had become the butt of jokes defensively- I always felt the Yanks should've given him a good look in the outfield - they did play him out there couple times and he was shaky.
Where are we now? I seem to be getting the vibe that the "Yanks" blew it by getting rid of him and not giving him a real chance at SS....lol, maybe at least they should've known what kind of player he would now be as a reg SS and got more in return for him.....of course, why not.

Cashman 1998 is by far (7 years) the most senior of all MLB *GMs.
The closest is Jon Daniels of Texas 2005, then Dayton Moore KC 2006, Neal *Huttington Pirates 2007.
The rest from 2009 onward with 16 of them being hired 2014 & 2015!
Even those who gave him a pass for last year's 87 win WC playoff game wouldn't lose sleep if the Yanks dumped him right now- it's clear he's already gone too long this season without shaking up this group and dooming the team into a significant step backwards.
When (if) this team finishes the season with a mediocre (at best) record, ownership should feel very silly especially when they look at the "1998" next to Cashman's name....we'll see what happens.

Can we crowd source funding for a hitman? Given what fans spend on tix and merchandise I have to believe this is doable.
