I think the last two game Tyurs has played well. He plays with great energy and doesn't foul as much when he starts as when hes comen off the bench. Hes a good rebounder and a great shotblocker. I think him and wallace would be a good mix down there. PJ seems to be good at Center more then Pf which he will do well as a backup center. Also sweets has been playing well. I hope skiles see's all this and gives these guys there playing time. A lineup like this would be goodKirk/DuhonGordon/ThaboDeng/NocTyurs/Sweets/AllenWallace/Brown
I would like to see him start tooI like how you put this together. This is the same way I would have it.Kirk/DuhonGordon/ThaboDeng/NocTyurs/Sweets/AllenWallace/BrownI have to disagree with you in one thing though..Wasn't Tyrus the one that fouled out against Memphis?
Yeah my dad keeps telling me how the rookies need to play more. I dont know if he should start because putting at Nocioni has worked SO well but I think he dfeintely deserves more minutes.
I agreePG Hinrich/Duhon/SefoloshaSG Gordon/Sefolosha/GriffinSF Deng/Nocioni/ThomasPF Thomas/Sweetney/KhryapaC Wallace/Brown/SweetsThomas provides you with more energy but he is a lesser version of Ben Wallace and I don't know how it will work but Im willing to see how it works. Both are very good rebounders and shot blockers and can't shoot the broad side of a barn. Deng is posting up more often and is our best low post scoring thread as a starter in the low post.
I can say this.. The east is so weak we are gonna make the playoffs nomatter what. As long as we dont fall too deep like we did last season when we had to win 15 out of 18 to make what 8th seed......I think wecan try new lineups and see what works. Thomas looks better as a starter over a backup
Nocioni and Gordon now are the exact same players as a starter and as a backup so they are interchangleble but the obvious choice is to keep Gordon as the starter for now... I wouldnt mess with "Old man Brown" as I like to call him, as a starter for us. He played better as a center because he can't score but he blocks shots and rebounds and his size is good against Western Conference teams. If I had to choose I would start either Sweetney or Tyrus Thomas. As of right now I think I want to see Tyrus Thomas start. He is just getting zero respect out there from the refs. He had 6 fouls tonight and 3 of them were BS CALLS. I hate referees, they ruin the game. His energy,#1 doesn't allow the other Bulls to start sluggish like they did against the Bucks. Did you notice once Thomas came in the Bulls started getting more energetic. #2 his energy alone brings an edge to the team and he is a very good box out player while he can also put some points on the board with alley oops or put backs. He has 24 dunks on the year which is 1st among ALL ROOKIES! That is impressive considering his limited minutes.Right now I actually like the way Skiles is using him (When he was a starter) he plays him untill like 5:00 left in the 1st and then subs him in late in the 2nd quarter or 3rd. If he starts, and the refs start giving him respect, he can play 20-25 +minutes a game.I think we are going to need this kid more in the 2nd half. He can get around 10 ppg 7 rbpg and 2-3 bpg. The kid is probably a top 5 blocker in this league already and im dead serious. There is nobody that can get as high up as him and throw a shot out of the building other than probably KG and Amare or Camby. Defense isn't going to be a problem as he develops, its just developing that outside shot. This summer if he can work on getting his mid range jumpshot consistantly like Deng this year, he can be an all around scorer that makes him just that tougher to guard because of his quickness. He is a smaller version and more athletic version of Amare Staudemire. Once he learns this game he will be a dominant player on both ends of the court. I just want to see his potential this year and start playing a full game without picking up 3+ fouls a game. Once he does that Skiles will give him more minutes.
