exactly. This is a good thing I think If CJ were 30. Bad news. But at his age and upward progress, I see this as nothing but a positive. AND more reasons to watch some summer ball!!!!
Dame seemed to come back with some swagger when he practiced with the team. Aside from a Paul George injury (jinx) this will go miles to improve his confidence in his career IMHO.
I think because when you scrimmage the roster against the roster they dont learn each other as well, so they bring in a whole secone squad, so no matter the 5 man lineup, its always the USA team together. Not against each other? Thats the only thing I can think of anyhow. Help them gel quicker.
International basketball is a farce. It's a silly game played with a silly ball on a silly court by silly rules. That being said, I'm happy that he's happy, and I am fully aware there are potential benefits to the experience. I just strongly disagree that those benefits come anywhere close to outweighing the risks.
CJ will benefit from working with Popovich..it's just a good camp to help him take it to the next level. If he learns anything about defense working out against the Olympic team, how can that be a drawback? I don't see how somebody at his point in his career could turn it down.
That was my first reaction too. Anytime you see the phrase "will be coached by Gregg Popovich" you fucking do it without hesitation. To me, this is WAY better than being on the actual Olympic team. Much shorter commitment and coached by Pop instead of Coach K. BNM
Does anyone have the full roster, because "the likes of Emmanuel Mudiay, Devin Booker, Kentavious Caldewell-Pope, Zach Lavine, Doug McDermott, Jabari Parker, Marcus Smart and Cody Zeller" doesn't sound like a team that would sniff the playoffs in the West, let alone be better than the Blazers. BNM
