Last call for Portland. Tonite is the deadline for Portland to make a trade involving the contract of Center Arvydas Sabonis. Tomorrow(Fri), they have to turn the contract into the league office, or inform them it has been terminated. So if there is any trade, it will have to occur tonite.
The Pistons and the Blazers were set to do a deal but Portland wanted other players in the deal as well as giving up Ruban Patterson in the trade...It's not like they havn't tried to trade sabonis's contract..but if a deal was to happen it would of been a few days ago..they will waive him now..

Won't happen,they were supposely in talks 2 months ago about Sheed and Gasol...but neither wanted to take the other's best player..don't see it changing now.

Shows how badly they want to trade him..but i have noticed they keep wanting to add Patterson in any deal that has come up...that may be the problem why they havn't made a move...

His trade value is a all time low. But what he does provide his hustle and defense. A team like NJ could gamble on him, and he could be a valuable asset to them off the bench. But Memphis surely doesn't need him........with Posey, Miller, Battier, Jones, Person, and Smith(if he makes the team) at the wing position already.
Seems like portland has been involved in every rumor. Hopefully they'll actually act and try to clean their image

Rasheed shouldn't be that hard to move; the trouble is getting what Portland will determine as fair market value. How about a Patterson for Charlie Ward/Travis Knight trade? It clears cap room for the Knicks, and unloads Patterson. NY gets a defender at the wings that they need, now that KVH is replacing Sprewell.
i just hope sheed goes somewhere else and straightens out wherever he goes. and hope that the blazers can get rid of their bad reputation.
The Blazers don't actually want to get rid of Patterson. He wants to leave because of the fight w/Randolph that happened in practice last year. As we know, Sabas retired. And they were planning on trading Sheed & Sabas for KMart & Mutombo. Obviously that can't happen now.

OKay. Man its so easy to portray one thing and be another online. I'm not angry at all nor, was I seeing red. It was an exaggerated figure of speech meant as a funny. IF I was really upset or pissed I would have stopped all other casual conversations with anyone else so I could focus on what was the "Rage". I merely went off for a moment only to one person who was blatantly ridiculing anyone who had a differing opinion than his. I did it in a very flammable manner trying to play the game HE brought out of the closet. D you think If I was really upset I would edit my posts calling myself a loser? LOL.. Its all good. Its all fun. Some can be annoying and frustrating around here, just like I am sure I can be to some as well. we are all different. But in no way was I ever ACTUALLY Seeing red or pissed. I was simply trying to go with the flow of the convo. I think the most frustrating thing to me in all seriousness... is that I feel I need to rush to keep up because things happen so quick around here. you can be page behind in minutes, lol. I think that's where I was too quick to jump and must have clicked on this as a similiar thread. But still don't recall even leaving the thread or scrolling to the bottom where they are listed. Trust me. The REAL universe I live in is very sound and peaceful.
