I used to have one of those home gym stations, but got tired of it taking up so much space, so I got rid of it and got a gym membership. But going to the gym on work nights was a pain, so I ended up only going on the weekend, and doing a few work outs at home mid week.

I found this neat device that lets you do pushups with resistance bands, you can add up to 300 pounds of resistance to a pushup, so that's a pretty substantial. Then I found I could get a good leg workout by getting standard weights and doing deadlifts. It fits into the closet nicely, and I also have a kettle bell.

The main thing I like at the gym is the lat pulldown and the dip station to do weighed dips, but now I'm thinking I may as well just get a dip/pullup station and cancel my gym membership.

Thankfully the gym is 5 minutes from my house, that helps on weeknights. So, gym.

Gym. I go every morning before work and on the weekends. One of the greatest things about the gym is the talent that is there. At my gym the scenery is always nice. Hard to get motivated to work out in your PJ's

If I was worried about a dip/pullup station taking up space I'd just put it on my backyard patio. It'll be nice out all summer and somedays the heat will make the workout harder and therefore, better.

    But that's just me.

I switched from gym to home workouts. I save so much time that way. Plus my equipment is in way nicer condition and saves me monthly fees to boot.

I used to have access to an on site gym at work. That was good. But they threw me in the trash can so I lost access. At my new job I can get discount to a local gym but it's not really close and I know I would not use it.

I don't have treadmills or other "big" equipment at home but I can get up a pretty good one hour workout using small equipment (free weights, exercise ball, exercise band) and using my own weight as resistance (pushups, reverse lunges, leg lifts, etc.) My best sub for treadmill is run in place, fast, while raising arms alternately. Not as good as I don't have the steep slope, but it's better than buying a gym membership and never going.

I just do yard work and help my buddy landscape as a side job. I only get paid $10 an hour when i do that on my days off but i treat it like my workout and go hard, and get paid to get in a good workout. Works for me.

I work out at home with a personal trainer named Jim.

None of that is true. I haven't worked out since I shattered my heel
