PJ would not be a good choice. Now he is boring.

I really like Brian Wheeler...I've listened to him for years and he is a classic radio sports broadcaster in my opinion and every interview and show he's done that I've heard has been top shelf. I got to meet Schonz and Rice but missed the Wheels meet and greet which I regret. I'd love to talk Blazers with the guy.

Neil is heavily connected to Mike Dunleavy and he might be interviewed...he has the Blazer connection and actually a great hoops IQ

Old Mike Dunleavy or young Mike Dunleavy?

I guess get them both and have Mike and Mike again?

It's to bad Wes Mathews still wants to play because he'd be a great guy to take Rice's job

None of that stuff about Wheels surprises me. He's a diva.

Maybe I can start watching the broadcast without the TV being on mute now.
    Always disliked M&M.
But in recent years I've grown to dislike them less as I listened to other broadcast teams.
Could do worse than M&M, I hope the organization realizes this and upgrades. Instead of brings in worse.

Sure, in my case no one currently reads my twitter feed. I preemptively delete my pathetic tweets so to know in the future when I am well known across the twitter universe, that I have nothing to concern over.

I don't have any insight about Wheels, but wasn't a big reason why he "lost" wheels at work was because the season started?

    1. Definitely no surprise PA wants to be more Seattle oriented. Question is if Seattle gets an NBA team in the next 5-10 years (after Lillard's prime runs out), PA may be shooting himself in the foot by trying to brand the Blazers as the NBA team of the Pacific Northwest. Imo, Seattle would get an NBA team to replace the Blazers well before Portland finds an NFL/MLB team to replace the Seahawks/Mariners. Who is to say Kevin Calabro (who McGowan recently followed on Twitter) won't bail the city if his beloved Sonics return?
    2. Makes sense. I think they were just looking for an excuse to fire Tone, who seems like a decent person off air but kind of bland and immature on the radio.
    3. I can see PA not liking Mike Rice as he's a bit of a loose cannon. A bit hypocritical, if my speculation is true. I'm pretty upset about removing Mike and Mike. The only thing that would have work is if they know they're getting Howard and/or Durant this summer and thus, want to appeal to a bigger audience.
    4. Not surprising, sadly. I love Wheels but he came across as bitter in an Oregonian article (think it was Oregonian) a few years back, criticizing people around him (for example, Schonz). Guy seemed angry, like he had some personal demons still in him. I wish him luck, though, if all that's true.

    Just some thoughts.

PJ is a pretty entertaining guy. I'm not sure where the boring part comes into play for people regarding him. I'm not sure how that translates to a game analyst though?

Ya. That's wrapped up in the game analyst comment. Not sure how he'd be for an entire game....82 times
