-- The chairman of the House Energy and Commerce committee, Fred Upton, said that Trump has “gone off the track.” The Michigan congressman said he has no plans to endorse Trump “or anyone in this race.” “I’m going to stay in my lane,” he said during a radio interview, according to The Detroit News. -- Richard Armitage, who served as George W. Bush's Deputy Secretary of State, announced he will vote for Clinton. “[Trump] does not appear to be a Republican, he doesn’t appear to want to learn about issues,” he told Politico. “So, I’m going to vote for Mrs. Clinton.” -- Charles Krauthammer says Trump how shown over the past month that he cannot and will not change. “It’s no accident that Trump’s poll numbers are sliding,” he writes in his column today. Michael Gerson, meanwhile, decries Trump’s flawed character in his column and argues that it is a far worse problem than the first-time candidate's lack of self-discipline. -- “At this point, I just can’t do it,” John Kasich said on “Morning Joe.” “But we’ll see where it ends up … I’m not making any final decisions yet.” -- Several more companies have announced this week that they are steering clear of the Republican convention in Cleveland: Wells Fargo, UPS, Motorola, JPMorgan Chase, Ford, and Walgreens Boots Alliance all said they will not be participating despite years of previous support -- joining Coca-Cola, Microsoft and a host of others refusing to join in Trump’s coronation. (Bloomberg) -- Even Trump’s core supporters are angry with him. Several allies publicly rebuked him yesterday for trying to prevent suspected terrorists from being able to buy guns. Jeff Sessions, Trump's point man on the Hill, declared that congressional Republicans should not take cues from The Donald on the subject. “We’re a co-equal branch of government,” the Alabama senator said.
They keep writing this shit and he keeps proving them wrong. I think hes an idiot, but i think he is going to win too.
ISIS supporters, perhaps even those that want Sharia Law. I don't expect we will find them among the Japanese Buddhists, Norwegian atheist, or ... But we were speaking of those to restrict from buying guns.
I'm finally feeling pretty sure Trump with fail. For a long time, especially in the primaries he kept excelling every time he said something egregious, but I think he finally went too far, keeps going too far, and really has doomed himself. If you want to make a friendly Avatar bet, I'd be down. If Trump wins, you control my Avatar for For a month, If Clinton wins, I control yours. If a third party wins, we both send Denny butt plugs.
If Republicans can step up and admit that Trump is a lunatic who should never be president, why can't Democrats do the same with Hillary?
Hillary may be many things, but lunatic probably isn't one of them. But if Denny wants to start using Hilunatic, I will license the rights to him. barfo
I understand why you think he's an idiot - or, at least, I can think of a few hundred possible reasons why. I don't understand why you think he's going to win. barfo
I'm not excited about Hillary, but I'm also not scared of her and I think she will do a decent job. I do know other liberals who were Bernie supporters who will not vote now, or vote for some 3rd party candidate. For all the sky is falling posts that more conservative posters here say regarding Hillary, most of those issues I see as hogwash or unimportant. I do think Hillary is a power-hungry politician without a real sense of conviction, however she has adopted a point of view I mostly align with. So, regardless of her motives, I think most of her actions will be pretty solidly in line with what I want. I am glad that Bernie pushed the D-party more to the left, and since Clinton is not an ideologue, she has moved further in that direction too. There are certainly things Hillary could do to turn me away, but at the moment I'm feeling pretty decent about her considering I don't care for her personality type. And, the supreme court appointments mean a lot to me. It really made me mad that the Republicans didn't allow Garland to get a hearing. That, more than anything will assure that I actually stay engaged and vote to rectify that situation.
