It's easy to say they play in the West, but what else is holding the Kings back, and how do they improve?
There is no doubt that they're a pretty talented team. I think they have the lack of a star player though. Yes, Artest and Bibby are pretty big names, but are they really "elite"? I think to be successful in the playoffs you need to have that one star player (unless you're the Pistons and you have the chemistry and lineup they had, but that's another story). Duncan, Kobe, Shaq, Wade, etc. All of the successful teams have players they can depend on for at least 20+ a game and will affect the game greatly in multiple areas.
I don't think you need a superstar like Duncan or Arenas to go to the finals, ask Detroit, but you do need chemistry, and that's where Bibby and Artest do not fit in.
I watched them last night and they just don't play together. There's something wrong with their chemistry or something but they're just not a team, its 5 guys out there putting up the quickest shot they can. If they actually played together then they'll probably be a nice team out there in that division but they can't seem to do that. I don't think Artest is happy either, there's been reports that he's not happy and you can just see it.
