I had Barry Sanders there and he replaced him with LT. Which I see no problem with.

    1) Michael Jordan-There won't be another one in the sport of basketball. Epitimy of what an athlete should be.2) Muhammid Ali-The man talked the talk and walked the walk. Also a hero for not only African-Americans but for humans in general.3) Tiger Woods-It took the greatest golfer before him, Jack Nickalus, 23 years to win 18 majors. It took Tiger 9 years to win 12. He will surpass Nickalus with most majors by a long shot. Most consistently good athlete in a sport where consistency is scarce. Tiger is the greatest golfer of all time, period4) Babe Ruth Could do it all on the baseball field and partied all night long after it was all over. Ate, drank, smoked and was the best baseball player of his generation. You can't not respect the Babe.5 "Babe" Didrikson Zaharias The greatest female athlete of all-time. Could play any sport and do it well. Won three medals (2 gold, 1 silver) in hurdling, javelin throw, and high jump at the 1932 olympics. Was a member of an AAU Championship basketball team in 1931. Founding member of the LPGA, won 17 straight amateur golf events, a feat not even Tiger Woods could master. Also competed at the 1938 Los Angeles Open on the PGA tour, no woman would try that for another 6 decades when Sorenstan did it. Also played amateur baseball.

hmmm, not quite sure what type of athlete people were looking for but the list has been very much based in America and North American sports. What about Paavo Nurmi, Michael Johnson or Emil Zatopec?Mark Spitz or Michael Phelps?Franz Beckenbauer or Marco Van Basten? There are hundreds more, I just think the tpix needs to be more specific.

I'm not going to make a list, but so far no mention of Dave Winfield. He was the only person ever to be drafted into four professional sport leagues (ABA, NBA, MLB, NFL).

(Justice, that sig is sexy)Babe Ruth was so good, his skill level competes with Jordan and Woods for number one.He was a dominating pitcher, and he hit 714 homers in bigger ballparks. He was pretty fat, and he drank and smoked a lot. He still did everything a baseball player could dream of.

An absolute joke to even consider him.
