Jim Brown was a man among boys when he played. They played 12 game seasons, barely wore pads, and he never got tackled for a lost. Watch some of his highlights. He had a nose for the goal line. He would always try his best to not get tackled. As for Faulk...he wasn't just dominant during that three year span. He was a very good player his whole career. It just kicked off during that span. Take a look at Tiki Barber same thing happened with him. Agent0-I was agreeing with you. I think you might have interpreted my post wrong where I said I'd like to hear an argument. You posed a great argument. Nice post.

Stick him on the Rams in the Greatest Show on Turf era with Kurt Warner, Isaac Bruce, and Torry Holt, there's no way he gets the ball nearly enough in a Martz oriented offense, and that would get him less yards, and less stats. That's why when Faulk got the ball in the GSOT era, he made the most of it on every single down he got it, taking that opportunity full force.

Faulk is sure-fire top 15. He even did it with guys like Holt and Bruce. A Martz offense is pass oriented as well.

It's just scary to look back on how Marshall still did all that in that wild 80% passing attack of an offense. I'd like to see what Tomlinson could do there, because I doubt he would be very happy in that situation of not being handed the ball on all these counters and off-tackles as such.

After reading through this thread it's the usual backs:Emmitt SmithBarry SandersJim BrownMarshall FaulkWalter PaytonCurtis MartinEric DickersonTony DorsettOJ SimpsonDisregard any players I did not list.By the way, the latest discussion has been way too funny saying that Faulk shouldn't even be in the top 15 of elite backs of All-Time, because it's pretty obvious he should be. I agree with Agent0 100%.
