Re: Hornet's hockey thread Okay this is my thread to talk about everything hockey. Feel free to comment and ask me anything but I'm running the show. So yeah, this'll be my hockey blog of sorts :happy0144:
Re: Hornet's hockey thread I love the Red Wings. It's too bad there are younger and faster teams than Detroit, but Zetterburg and Datsuyk are amazing.Sidney Crosby always seems to become more amazing each day.

Re: Hornet's hockey thread Yeah, Syd will get hurt before we know it. Everygame I watch of him he gets pop'd. I prefer Evengi Malkin over him anyway..
Re: Hornet's hockey thread Ovechkin is the best, nice to have someone here is obsessed with hockey as wellDo you play?
Re: Hornet's hockey thread They have some decent young talent. In my opinion Mikko Koivu could become a decent player. Then of course they havea great goalie in Manny Fernandez. Then Brian Rolston is having a ncie year and also Bouchard is playing pretty well.

Re: Hornet's hockey thread I haven't kept up with hockey since the strike. But in like 2002 when the Wings won the cup and prior to that, I was a huge hockey fan. The days when Federov was on Detroit, Lindros was on the Flyers? I don't remember. When Colorado, Detroit, and Jersey were the top three in the league, and the pesky Stars were right behind.

Re: Hornet's hockey thread Ok Hornet Hockey explain this one to me. After years of showcasing an All-Star game on the weekends and building it up with several comericals/hype why in god's name did the NHL have the all-star game on a f*cking wednesday night? I used to be a hardcore Bruins fan and really didn't follow the Celtics. This was the first All-Star game in three years and they hold it on a Wednesday and don't build it up? They have so much young talent in this league and they have no clue how to market it or how to make their product appealing. I was watching PTI last night and Tony Kornehiser made a fantastic point....what all-star game? where is it? when is it? what day is it? If you didn't watch sportscenter the past few weeks an outside hockey fan would have no clue when or where this game was.

The connection who has the most help and its clearly Crosby. Therefore Ovechkin who has no help is more like James. The Pens have a fantastic young team, with arising stars like Crosby or like Evengi Malkin or even Kolby Armstrong. They also have a decent young goalie and some verternship in Recchi and Sergei Gonchar.Ovechkin has like Alexander Semin who is the only good young talent IMO.
Re: Hornet's hockey thread But James gets help, a la Larry Hughes, Big Z, Drew Gooden, and that solid bench. Ovechkin is more like KG.
