    interesting point about the prius.

The cars that are involved in the most deaths are the GM ones. Corvette, Camaro, etc.

    1. Chevrolet Corvette
Number of deaths: ~5.2 per 10,000 vehicles registered

Deaths in Corvettes tends to make for an interesting social study. Historically, it’s had one of the highest death rates of any car, but it’s not due to some glaring engineering fault. It’s hardly a coincidence that in the 1980s, fully 85 percent of everyone that died in a Corvette was male, and nearly a third of those were under the age of 30.

I have never owned a gun in my adult life. I've owned many cars. I am able to function perfectly fine without a gun. I suppose we could go back to horse and buggy days (although those are quite dangerous too), but do you really want a bunch of poop all over the city? Is that what you really want Denny?

    Wow.... that list is...... weak.

They are REALLY overplaying the "mass" shooting card. When the media says, "there was a mass shooting!" people immediately think of something like Orlando. They think of 50 people dead. They don't think of a meth sale gone wrong.

    http://www.gunviolencearchive.org/incident/585821

Sites like this are only creating fear and furthering the myth that gun violence is on the rise, when the numbers in fact show otherwise.

No. I don't want to go back to horse and buggy. I'm just pointing out that we allow certain models of cars that are dangerous and take lives far more than guns do.

If you really cared about the environment you would ride a bicycle.

If you really cared about this forum, you would leave the forum. Roasted! j/k -- umm I have to drive for my job... and I have to work long hours, so biking to work is not a real option. I used to take the public transportation and only drive when I needed to go somewhere for work, but the public transportation on the way home takes like 2 hours, so no I am not doing that. I have decided not to have kids. That's my gift to the earth.

I was just giving you a hard time. I don't ride a bicycle myself... it would be a long ride. But I do ride the MAX, so clearly I'm a better human being.

What if your kid would have cured cancer? You monster!

Try getting in a Corvette, when you are over 50. If you make it, don't buy it until you get out! The last time I tried this, I was just about 50. I bought a Suburban after the salesman offered his hand when I was getting out.

    Damn! I wanted one of those when I was 20 - 30!

I think we should get rid of F150's. Those guys are assholes. Not sure if it is a nature or nurture thing.

Some say Roe v Wade has a lot to do with this decline. Makes some sense.

The chart starts ~20 years after Roe.
