I am sure he is. The problem is he is the type of player every GM loves. His versatility, durability. professionalism....... puts him in high demand. And with our track record with FA's can we afford to wait it out? Whiteside's desire to make a quick decision helps us there. If Horford is interested in us at all, 2-3 days should not hurt us. Unless he also wants to make a quick decision.
List of 117 free agents ranked (according to some random guy's opinion). My boy Cole doesn't even make their list... http://www.sbnation.com/2016/6/28/12029662/nba-free-agents-list-ranking-rumors-2016-kevin-durant
I have a feeling Neil is putting all his eggs in the whiteside basket and I have to think there's a reason. I think he feels very confident he can get him.
We'll strike out with the major FAs, and will sign a RFA to a big contract whose team will match. Maybe it'll be RLEC all over again. Man, being an insecure fan of a small market team really sucks sometimes.
Neil is totally gonna sign someone like al jefferson and be like " i did it guys! I signed a stud to portland!!!!"
I have a feeling ATL will won't do a long term commitment to Howard. Boston is an interesting fit for him, who knows what Ainge will offer. I think Dwight can be had if you give him a 3-4 year deal for security.
Should I be surprised that Durant's name has not been connected to Portland at all? Like, we can't even get a coffee with him?
