Yeah. I didn't really have a point, you just reminded me that I used to watch that video when I still had hope.

Except Aldridge would have been the third best player on the team and left sooner.

Channing Frye would have been better than LaMarcus anyway.

Uniquely bad, maybe. He's 89/100 in defensive +/-. MM doesn't call him Leonar_ for no reason. I'm not going to hunt it down right now, but there's an article out there that compares centers offensively/defensively/rebounds/blocks.... graphically, and in numerous ways. Outside of 3 points made, Biebs was the worst of the lot, by far.

On top of sucking, he's let Neil know that he wants big $$$.

Any statistical evidence for your insults, or is just a "never say never" thing?

Spacing reasons I think if you sign Dwert you have to match a Meyers offer sheet.

Ah crap, there's absolutely no way Atlanta will take Leonard for Millsap straight swap, that'd be suicidal.

Anyway, the above scenario required us to trade half of our team for Noel and Millsap and it still looks far fetched. A better chance would be signing Whiteside in free agency (we got a shot) or even someone like Mahinmi without giving up on any of our assets, and then trading up for Millsap if he becomes available (I really think this might be possible), maybe even after the season has started. A huge package of Vonleh, Plumlee and Crabbe/Leonard plus Cleveland's pick might somehow convince them to move Millsap to us. Obviously it'd make us very light on the bench and you're already pushing the cap space with Lillard, Millsap and Whiteside on the same team but it's definitely a contender line up.

Lillard/McCollum/Harkless/Millsap/Whiteside is a hell of a line up. Even if you replace Whiteside with someone like Mahinmi it's still going to be a contender.

One can dream. Millsap is definitely my dream signing for this offseason, a complete pipe dream but who cares. Noel is more probable, we could probably convince 76ers to take Crabbe + pick or Crabbe + player at some point.

I could very well see us signing 2 guys if we sign Whiteside (Or Howard for less than $21M). We'd still have $5.6M and a logjam at center with Leonard, Plumlee, and said Free Agent. We'd get rid of Leonard or Plumlee, which would at least shed $2.8M, which would leave us with $8.4M to go sign a Jared Dudley or Jarret Jack type. Renouncing Meyers instead would leave us with $13.3M. That's a lot of dough

It'd possibly make sense to let Leonard go and spend $13M on two more players: a PF or SF and then let Plumlee leave to whichever team need a C but cannot get one in market (his value will be significant). We'd be left with Whiteside and Davis for center and could get someone on a cheap deal. $12M will get you Bazemore, Marvin Williams etc. Or keep the money and make a Millsap move (yeah I want him badly) - we could probably make it work financially though am I right saying $13M will not be there once Harkless and Crabbe extend?

It's just so complicated with basketball, man. I am a football (soccer) fan too and it's way simpler to follow transfer market. You either buy them or you don't.
