Ok im just gonna start off by saying that this is all hypothetical, alot of it could not work out but this is something I would love to see the celts do. Lets begin......Ok the whole thing starts with the draft. Keep the record near the bottom 4 so were guarenteed a top 4 spot in the draft. This is where the magic starts. Draft Brandon Wright with our pick(barring we dont get the first pick then its obviously oden), then trade away wally to the pistons for one of their 1st round picks. With that pick, grab a defensive minded guard and great shooter in Aaron Afflado out of UCLA to give us more depth at forward and gives us ability to bring players like pierce gerald and others down to the sf instead of the sg. I have no preference for the 2nd round pick, so preferably a big man with some shot blocking ability, possibly someone from overseas (ie alexis ajinca). After the draft I say spend the next year basically developing all young players. Start brandan wright every chance you have with a starting rotation of this: (in order of position on the depth chart)pg- bassy/west/rondosg- allen/affladosf- pierce/greenpf- wright/gomesc- big al/perkas you can tell I like big al playing c in the new team I think hes excelling at the C and you cant argue with the stats he's putting up now.So with all these young players in the rotation Im assuming that our record wont improve much if at all so we'll be in the bottom 5(this is all assumption). With our pick, if we dont get 1 or 2 we package the 3rd or 4th(whichever we get) along with expiring contracts like ratliff or young talent at the pg like bassy for the 1st or 2nd and select derrick rose. That year, the roster will be(assuming we package bassy and our pick for a top 2 pick)pg- rose/west/rondosg-allen/affladosf- pierce/greenpf- wright/gomesc- big al/perkI think if we ever held a lineup like that intact.....we could be dominant for many many years. If im not mistaken after that season pierce would be a FA so we could then start the next seasonpg- rose/west/rondosg- allen/affladosf- green/gomespf- wright/gomes/scalc- big al/perkthat lineup is not only flexible but versitile and absolutely stacked with talent. Alright this was just something I thought up when I was looking into this years draft, what do you guys think?
yeah I didnt really think about the whole rondo thing. He shud be 1st string with rose and west behind him.
First of all, It's Affalo. Not Afflado lmfao. It would really suck to lose Pierce though. I would love to see Aaron A in a Celtics jersey.

HAHA ost of the Celts fans here will hate that you have Rodno being 3rd string, since he seems like a fan favorite here.
Oh, I always thought it was Affalo. Thanks for the clearup. About Rondo, this guy has a lot of potential and is our future star on the team. He's not the greatest scorer out there, but he knows how to dish the ball and is just great at playing defense. In 2-3 years, I believe he can be better then Sabby & West.
no he WILL be better than those two. Some believe he already is, myself included. As a point guard, I believe Rondo is our best bet right now.lovely gerald green sig btw.
I think paul pierce would probably resign and retire as celtic. But then rajon is a good player. He's very young and quick which make it hard for people to guard him. In a few years he will be great for the celtics. He can score most of the time when he is given the chance and he uses all his time wisely. Tries his best no matter how many minutes you get in a game. If I was a coach I would liek that too. Aaron afflalo is a good shooter and is a perfect fit for the team. Rondo can bring all the defense inside and dish it out to the open man and he'll sink it in no problem. But im not so sure that you guys will be able to get derrick rose
