I dont understand why the media makes a big deal about states/teams without an income tax. Player salaries are broken out and paid per game and are taxed based on what city/state the game is at. So not all of the players salary is income tax free if their home team is a state without it.
No. Portland is still not east coast, still not a big market, still known for its overcast rainyness on a national scale. It will become an even worse destination if we pass a sales tax and keep the income tax (which is what would happen. No way oregon completely abolishes income tax.
