He's not bad. Could be this year's Diaz, Hartford guy that can come up and run the point if needed. Right shot.
Love this move actually. I always wanted the Rangers to trade for him. Nothing like Diaz. Diaz blows and he's a dwarf. This guy is 6 feet. Right handed. I hope this doesn't mean they are trading McIlrath. If anything, buying out Girardi or trading Klein.
Honestly, this guy has gotten screwed over his entire career by moron coaches for no reason. He's played 50 games in the NHL, has 11 points and is a plus 30. How he isn't starting for some team is a joke. Clendening is an offensive defenseman with good puck-moving ability and a solid shot from the point. While he is known for his offensive and ability to transition the puck up ice, Clendening is solid defensively. He doesn't shy away from the physical side of the game and plays with a good deal of intensity. However, Clendening could stand to utilize his intensity and grit more to the benefit of his team. He also needs to keep his feet moving and improve his overall speed.
