Since joining the Pacers in the 2006 off-season, Darrell Armstong has become a leader and a sidelline coach. He is always standing up yelling defensive coverages at teamates, cheering for teamate's good plays, and encouraging them. I really like this guy. If only the NBA had more players like him: veteran players who are leaders to their teams and can motivate teamates to win.I hope he plays another season or two before retiring although he has said he plans to retire at the end of this year. The funniest thing about him is the look on his face when referees who are younger than him call fouls on him. Priceless moments.Darrell Armstrong is still a player, though. He has a very nice outside shot and can guard the opposing team's point gaurd like a 20 year old. He makes the most of his minutes and hustles everywhere. Here's to the "silent hero" of the Pacers: Darrell Armstrong! :drunk:
Armstrong has been a solid role player off the bench for the Pacers and has been the spark off the bench that they have needed. He is an alright shooter but he is one of the best hustlers in the league.
Yeah I agree. But it's not like him and a few other people lead there team to victory. Alot of players help there team out and take control.
