Turner strikes me as being a very Harkless type of addition, obviously not as cheap but he is a pretty balanced player with ceiling still.
That's it.... I was right we are The Monteal Expos. If this is our big free agent move it's impossible to compete in this system. We will consistently groom players for other teams that we get by morgaging our immediate future. Neil is surrounding Lillard and McCollum with marginal talent in the hopes they make the playoffs. Well you got to tell season ticket holders something..... Wonder how long before Dame bails. At least we can match Crabbe and Harkless so we are essentially keeping them prisoner, Have fun guys I'll be in the bar.
You guys are missing the big picture here. Olshey knows Turner from way back, and at Olshey's urging, Turner played poorly his first six years in the league so that Neil could sign him now at a reasonable cost. You are about to see Evan Turner, Superstar next year. That's what my sources tell me. barfo
Yep. The next time one of you guys say otherwise, about how we are changing and we finally are a destination players want to come to, we all get to kick you in the fucking nuts
It screams to me of making a move you don't really want to make to be able to make a move you'd like to make. Again, who does his agent represent?
You're right, but I don't get it. Why is Memphis more attractive than Portland?? What the hell? Seems like you could start a team in Podunk, Mississippi, and have better luck drawing players than Portland.
Parsons was only valuable to me if we were able to get Howard. Turner at 17 per is fucking stupid, unless we can now get someone else as a favor
Kevin Bradbury http://basketball.realgm.com/info/agent_clients/Kevin-Bradbury/26 No one of significance
In case anyone's wondering, after renouncing Henderson/Kaman/Roberts and signing Turner to 70/4, we have approx. 8.2M cap space left. Not counting what we could generate by renouncing RFA's. Still the possibility of being further disappointed by another middling signing.
Well, on the bright side, the team's moving to Seattle so he won't really be Portland's problem for long.
Turner did almost average 5 assists off the bench in 28 mpg last year. He can create and scores in the midrange. Outside of his 3pt shooting, he has identical stats to Parsons. Just unfortunate that three point shooting is a MASSIVE deal in our offense.
