Is Neil trying to win NOW because he is afraid he gets fired if we don't get to the WCF's this season or something? Only explanation I can think for signing Turner for so much and then going after old man Gasol (who I do like, but isn't right for this team).
There isn't a player in the league that I hate more than Pau Gasol. His cry to the refs face makes me want to punch my TV.
According to woj, Follow Adrian WojnarowskiVerified account@WojVerticalNBA Sources on @TheVertical: After agreeing to $70M deal with Evan Turner, Portland aggressively pursuing Pau Gasol.
I can't endure his verbal flops for 82+ games. Nor can I handle Austin Rivers and his failed attempts to score at the rim. Dont do this, Neil.
Gasol put up similar numbers to Dwight but blocked more shots and can hit a mid range shot free throws and passes very well. He doesn't rely on athleticism so has a solid 4 years left in him.
$18.75M/year (average) for Turner? Really? Must mean that either Howard or Chandler or both are off the table. If both, it means we're adding Turner to last year's roster. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/1...r-year-75-million-deal-portland-trail-blazers Evan Turner agrees to 4-year, $75M deal with Blazers Former Boston Celtics guard Evan Turner has agreed to a four-year, $75 million deal with the Portland Trail Blazers, his agent told ESPN's Jeff Goodman.
So now we're going to go after a guy who's at the age when his game will severely regress?? Did Olshey have a stroke? What the hell is going on?
