I just want to know whats the deal with Fred Jones? Is he in that bad of a slump that deserves to ride the bench and collect DNPs? When do we expect to see him out on the floor? Is it pre-mature to suggest that his time in Toronto is done?

Ya. I'm pretty sure his time in TO is done. He isnt performing and shown he isnt prepared to play ocne he is put into the game. All he does is jack up shots and he isnt a great shooter. I think we should trade him. Never really liked this guy even when we signed him

^Are you jokeing me? His time in Toronto is over after like 35 games? Wow...Give this guy some time. Let him get used to the players around him. Why are you guys hateing on Fred Jones so early? He could help the Toronto Raptors very much IMO. He's probably getting DNPs because Sam Mitchell wants to prove a point.Joey Graham was in a slump a couple of weeks ago. But no one said his time in Toronto is over. He also got very little minutes but has come back stronger in the last 2 games he's had like 20 points each game and that is what Fred Jones is capable of doing.

Well when Joey was in a slump at least he kept working hard to get out of it. Same with Jorge. Well if Jones did what he did like early in the season, when he was driving to the hoop I'll like to see that happen. But for now I wouldn't like to see a player who isn't even trying and just waiting there when he gets the ball and then shoots it. If I was a coach I wouldn't liek to see that at all. At least Joey and Jorge went to the cup and tried to get a foul.

Fred Jones can't shoot. I remember on the Pacers he would shoot with no arc on the ball at all. He would either clang it off the side or swish it, there were no other ways for the ball to hit the rim on his shot. Mostly he's just a bundle of athletiscm but he can play some pg and is improving and could defietley help your team in the fiture.

I think Jones was shooting a career best last year? But from what I have seen now, I would have to say Fred Jones isnt of much help right now. Out PG spots are find. When TJ struggles Jose is on fire, when Jose struggles TJ is unstoppable, and they have very good team chem too. With Parker, Graham, Peterson playing well, I don't really see a place where jones would fit in right now.

yeah I really think our chemistry is really good at this moment! I want Fred Jones to succeed here though I honestly think if he improves his game pretty much his IQ then he'll gel in fine here in T.O but from what I have seen when hes on the floor is him just jacking up shots to get some quick poiints in order to redeem himself....but if by the end of the season he doesn't fit into our team I think it would be in Toronto's best interest in dealing Jones, he would thrive in Pheonix...take all the 3s he wants and get some nice dunks in.

Yeah, well Fred Jones has been getting benched for blike 3 weeks it seems. I don't know what's going on. Maybe, he is showing a lack of character in practice, or maybe Sam just sees that he is in a huge playing slump right now.If I were Sam, I would play him for most of the 4th quarter when we blow out Charlotte to try to get his confidence back...We could use him. He is very athletic, he plays defense, and his shot is decent WHEN he's open.

We aren't benching him because he is in a slump. He is being benched because he isn't trying in practice like the other players and he isn't re ally ready to play when put in the game. So he isn't showing Mitchell that we wants to play.

but ever since sam started benching him I think his confidence level dropped.. I liked seeing him get lots of minutes in preseason he almost seemed like our leader with all his steals and fastbreak dunks... sure he was jacking up shots at the begginning of the season but now he doesn't do that as often and I think we just have to let him play. take away like 3-4 minutes from graham and garbajosa and let him play. I really like him although I think he might be better off on a team with less depth so that he can really shine.also, we should take minutes away from darrick martin, hes the one that needs to get DNP's, hes the one that jacks up shots. put fred as pg idk I hate watching him sit on the bench.
