For a player who is only assisted 30% of the time in the two point area, he only picked up 7 offensive fouls last year. By way of comparison, Aminu picked up 16 last year. Five minutes after we were told equal money isn't enough, we pay more for someone than the other team after him. Fuck this line of thinking that suddenly it all has to be about basketball and personality and shit. Neil wanted a guy. He paid more for that guy. He got that guy. If we could have magically paid Parsons more, I bet we'd have him. But we couldn't. All things being equal, guys don't come here. So we paid the tax.
I think it's reasonable to give him some kind of deadline. We offered him the max, so who do you want to play for? We can't afford to wait around for days and days while our secondary targets get tied up.
Evan Turner got Wes Mathews money..in that comparison, we got a better, younger player than Wes...and Wes wanted that much after he was injured. It's all good.
