    Exactly. Gasol was a baller last year, has a game thats not predicated on athleticism and the length of the contract won't be long. I'm all for getting Gasol.

    Sign and Trade Meyers or Harkless for just under the cap so BYC doesn't apply (apx $14M) for Pau ($17M; less than 125%) and Right to Swap 2018 1st Round Picks.

    Pau doesn't seem to be a guy that'd have a problem with market. He'd want a chance to win.

    -We went as far as the Spurs last year.
    -We would benefit more from him then they would.
    -We would likely pay him more than they would. (I don't see them shedding salary for Pau. I think they'd go with Mahinmi instead)

    I can't believe people around here are disappointed in a consolation prize that is a future HOF'er who just came off a 22 PER year and could be had for cheap (relatively speaking).

    I also love reading this thread. People are getting their hopes up only to have them get dashed when Gasoline inevitably spurns us at the last minute (but hey, we were his second choice!).

    I don't see how we can afford Gasol without gutting the roster. I guess we could do a lopsided sign-and-trade but it would have to be Ed Davis, and that would make me sad. And the Bulls are trying to clear room for Wade, aren't they?
